“How would there be intentional poisoning?”

“I don’t know Sky but that would mean its someone on the inside who did it. If it was done before he came here they would have found a trace by now”

“but who could get to him from the inside?”

Just then there was a knock on the ajar door.  Toby got up and opened it.  A tall boy wearing a baseball cap and a white shirt tucked into black dress pants with the name tag “Greg” was standing on the other side of the door. He was holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Toby recognized him.

         “Greg?” he said, puzzled.
“Yes, hi, I have a delivery for a girl named..uhh..Skylar,” he read from a paper.
“What..um, okay, well have you seen Mark yet?”
“I'm sorry sir, but I can’t reveal personal information,”
“what do you mean? Greg? Are you okay? Mark, you know…your best friend, im also your best friend, why are you acting so weird?”
“Listen, I have these flowers, and they need to be deleivered, so take them please so I can get on  with the rest of my deliveries”
“bro…” Toby said as he lifted his arms up, “don’t you remember me? Its been like what, a week?”
“I'm sorry sir, but just take the flowers.”

Greg pushed the flowers into Toby and walked away.  Toby turned to skylar and said “I guess these are for you,”

Skylar took the flowers and rested them on her lap. She noticed the corner of a white card sticking out of the flowers. She read it.

“to my dear love, I hope you well soon,
                                                                                        -ton amour

     “Toby, you didn’t have to,”

“Have to what?” he asked…puzzled, again.

“The flowers,” Skylar was getting fed up with all of this. She was sitting in a hospital bed in a hostpital gown with her hair all messed up and her parents worrying their heads off.

Her parents weren’t able to get a return flight since where they went was too hot and had a power outage, and was not able to sign out of the hotel properly and had to stay until the issue was resaulved. Skylar felt alone. So alone. She figured that if she wasn’t here anymore, none of her friends would be getting hurt, and Gerrick would stop with all of the mind games.

“Toby, I'm going to go to sleep, I'm really tired and I just need sleep, I cant think straight, goodnight,”

“Goodnight, angel. Ill be here waiting,”

Skylar fell asleep. She dreamt of wild things. It really took her mind off of everything for now. She dreamt of a rainbow land with lollipops as trees and cotton candy as bushes. She was completely away from everything. The houses were made of ginger bread, and she made friends with the witch that lived inside and they ate pie. Then some kids came to the door and the witch gave them candy from her emty cupbords and they went away.

There were candy apples on the table and the witch was one of the nicest people that shes ever met. She went to use the bathroom and when she came out, she was in a land of computers and saw a car with her name on it. She rode the car around and made friends with a female racer, and they raced each other until they went off coarse and they woand up at the beach where they stayed until dark and the racer was no longer a female, but now a male. She didn’t know who he was but she noticed he had an amazing smile that made her melt. Nothing like Toby, but he doesn’t have to know. It was now completely dark out on the beach and when she looked over for the boy, she couldn’t see him, and when she tried to feel around for him, he was no where. He would say things and it sounded right in front of her, but she couldn’t feel anyone standing there in front of her.

Just then there was light again, and just as she thought, she didn’t see him anywhere. She looked over and she saw a wave that was the size of a thirteen floor building, about to fall onto her. When it was just over her head, she woke up.

She sprung up and looked around. She was in her room. It was dark outside, and toby was gone. “He probably went downstairs to go get food” she said to herself.

When the nurse came in to check on her, she asked for some water.
"Alright dear," the nurse said kindly.
"Wait," Skylar said before the nurse left the room, "do you by any chance know whats going on with the boy down the hall, the one that had the code blue? he's my boyfriends best friend and I really want to know if hes okay,"
The nurse gave a sigh and walked over to Skylars bed, "oh, dear, I wish I could give you all of the information that I have. It's just that it is policy that I cant, but what I can tell you is yes he is alive, and hes very luckey for it. You know, I dont think  I can tell you this but you look like a nice girl. The boy was poisened. We dont know how but he wasn't poisened before he got admitted, it had to be while he was here. All of the staff are being questioned and we are completely puzzled. But he's okay now and we are taking every percaution now. Dr. Jakes is the only one who is allowed to treat him and look after him now until everything is sorted out,"
"Thank you so much, I just wanted to make sure nothing happened to him...and, not to be a bother or anything, but do you by any chance know who sent in those flowers? I have absolutly no idea, like did you see anything?"

The sweet and older looking nurse took a look at the flowers.

"No dear, I'm sorry, I dont beleive I have, but you must be a luckey girl to have someone buying you those...a bunch of 'em too, those are very expensive. Okay well I better go and get you your water before your mouth dries up. I'll be right back,"

The nurse left the room and Skylar sat there. She wished that she knew all of the answers and that she could fix all of this. But she didn't, and she couldn't.

I wonder where Toby is

She thought to herself. The nurse returned and placed the cup on the tray and moved it over to her. Skylar sat up and drank the water. She felt herself sitting on her phone and she picked it up and looked at it. No calls. No messeges. She dialed Toby's number and put her phone to her ear. It had started ringing. After a few rings, she started hearing vibrations from the jacket on the chair next to the bed.
Great...He didnt even bring his phone.
In order to take her mind off of things, she decided that she wanted to watch some television.
She reached to grab the remote, when her phone started ringing. She answered it.

"Hello?" she said. There was no answer.
"uhm...Helloo?" she said again still nothing. She waited a second. It wasn't long before she heard a harsh scream. She hung up right away.
The scream was familliar to her. The voice. She knew it. It wasn't coming to her but she knew that she knew it.
Wait... she thought,  wasn''t that...Gregs voice? ..no, it can't be. im just being paranoid now. it probably wasn't even a scream either...probably just the phone screwing up. Where the hell is Toby? I'm getting worried, he said he'd be right here. I need some more sleep.

Skylar moved her tray away from herself and fixed herself into a comfterble posotion. She shut her eyes and fell back into a sleep.
