Skylars eyes widened "Toby, put the gun down" she said firmly as Toby had the gun pointed to Gerick.
"Tell me what the hell is going on," he demanded, with his hand shaking, holding the gun.
"Toby just put the gun down and we can talk about this," Skylar said, trying to be reasonable. Toby walked towards Gerick and put the gun up right next to his head
"What the freaking hell, were you doing with my girl?" Toby questioned angrily. Gerick knew that Toby would never pull that trigger.
"I'm sorry, but last time I checked, you and I weren't dating," she pipped in. They didn't pay any attention to her.
Gerick punched Toby in the face and shoved him away by the shoulders, "I came here to apologize and make things right with Skylar, your the one who walked in here with a gun, so technically, I should ask you the same thing,"
"I know you Gerick, I knew you would be here," Toby said to Gerick, still ignoring Skylar.
"Do you? Or maybe you were going to do to Skylar what you did to Olivia, Skylar fits your preference right? That's the only reason why you ever got so close with Skylar,"
"Wait, what?" Toby said as he straightened up, "You think that...no, come on bro, you really don't think that?"
"Don't pull this crap with me," Gerick shot at him, "you think I'm stupid? You honestly think that I didn't see the way you looked at her, how you talked to her, what you would say about her behind her back?
"Dude come on, she was hot, what do you expect, but I would never do that to you, I couldn't, and I'm sorry, but I was the one who was always there for Skylar, when you hurt her. You know what, you pulled this whole thing off so well with Skylar, what evidence is there to show that you weren't the one who did that to Olivia and covered it up just as easy,"
"Don't you DARE ever accuse me of such a thing," Gerick snapped back,
"Gerick be realistic here-"
"You shut your mouth," Gerick cut him off, "Your words are meaningless now... to even say that, just wow"
"Listen, I would never do that to you, I had my dreams and my hopes, but I could never..you guys were just so perfect together," Toby said softly,
"Really?" Gerick said softening up as well
"Of coarse...plus, I wasn't her type, she would never go for a guy like me anyways," Toby continued.
"yeah, I guess your right," Gerick spoke with a chuckle following.
"Yeah, the struggle made it that much better though," Toby said with his words trailing off.
"Sorry, what was that?"
"I mean, dammmn, its no wonder why you kept her all to yourself, it was soo good...so nice, she was just sooo nice Gerick...ohhh," Skylar watched Toby as he spoke these words. Shes never detested him so much before at this point. His eyes were shut looking through memories, his expression enjoying it.
The next thing she remembered was Gerick on top of Toby, punching him left and right, blood everywhere, "you dirty bastard!" he cried. The nurses came in the room and broke them apart. Tears everywhere, Gerick was a wreck. A nurse had to accompany Skylar who was also in tears as she tried to get to them, but the nurses held her back.
Toby and Gerick were both arrested that night, and put into jail. Toby for longer than Gerick.
When Skylars parents came back, they promised Skylar that they would never leave her ever again, and that they wouldn't let anything like this ever happen. Mark was okay, he recovered well, but still no sign of evidence towards who poisoned him. Skylar started her final year of high-school. For her seventeenth birthday she had a little get together with her family, Mark, and even Greg showed up for a little bit. She still had to return to having next to no friends at school, although she did always have people come up to her and ask her about what happened in the summer since they saw some of what happened on the news.
