Today, I had the sudden urge of something chocolate, I wasn't sure what but I wanted something sweet. Yes, sweet sounded good, smothered in dark, chocolate syrup? Huh, maybe that's a bit too much. Chocolate on chocolate was always good, but then my mouth would get dry and I would get thirsty.

I was in the Kool-Mart looking through food, when I reached the breakfast isle and looked down the isle. Do I want anything here? Hmmm . . . . . I saw cookies! Score!

I walked down the isle and looked at the huge variety. Who knew there were so many different types of cookies! My gosh. I suppose it was good, but it made it harder for me. I looked at them, peanuts was definitely out. I didn't like peanuts or anything peanut butter flavored. The marshmallow cookies sounded good, but not today.

The time passed and I think I was there for five minutes. I was down to two flavors, regular chocolate chip cookies and m&m cookies. My hand reached out and then I decided on the m&m cookies. I placed it in the green basket on my arm.

I should probably buy some milk for the house, all three of my sisters would devour the cookies. My mom, however, was at work, as always.

I sighed, she always came home tired. That was all she did: work. She consumed herself in work so she wouldn't think of our father, he had died when I was only seven and she still wasn't herself.

She had always said that he had worked somewhere in the government, so we didn't get a chance to bury him because his death was classified. I suppose that was why my mother couldn't let him go.

My sisters tried not to think about it either.

My cell phone rang, I looked down at it, Suzie, my younger sister called. She was two years younger than me, she was thirteen. My youngest sister was named Sara and she was ten. My older sister, Margret, was seventeen.

"Hello," I answered.

"Hey, can you buy some ice-cream? I've been craving it sooooo bad!" She said.

I sighed, "Sure, what flavor?"

"Cookies and cream."

"Okay, I'll be home soon."

I walked up and down the isles looking for the freezers and they were in the last isle.

"Let's see . . . . . . " I grabbed a pint of the ice cream and headed to the checkout area.

The line wasn't that long, compared to how it usually is on a Sunday morning. I patiently waited fifth in line, listening to the cheesy music they always put on the speakers.

"Attention associates, there is a spill on isle twenty-five. Again there is a spill on isle twenty-five. Thank you." Said the speakers. A male associate walked with a bored expression wearing the blue vest and green t-shit of the Kool-Mart store. He turned down the isle and his bald head looked to reflect the light from the ceiling. He did not seem in a hurry.

Well . . . . . okay, then.

The line was going slow, but it seemed like everyone had cart full of things, compared to my basket.

Maybe, I should just use a self-check out?

I walked toward them and they were all occupied and they had a lot more people waiting. I walked back to the regular check-outs and they were so many more people.

I sighed . . . .  of course. I got behind the closest and now waiting behind ten people.

When I finally got the the front, I took out all my things from my basket, so the cashier could check them out. I placed the basket on the side of the register, where she had more sitting neatly on to of each other.
