"Hey guys look Niddrie town" said Matthew "wow so pretty all the water fountains and water falls" said Lily "I think i know why the gym here is water" said Acerola then they walked to the pokemon centre. "What up loser" said Barry "What do you want" Replied Matthew "You bet the gym leader yet?" said Barry "Who is that?" whispered Acerola to Tom "Its Barry Matthews enemy from when they were younger" replied Tom "oh ok" "No I'm about to beat the gym though" said Matthew "Ha well catch you later Im going to Pascoe Vale town to verse the gym there later losers" said Barry then he walked out of the gym with a grin on his face. "Omg he is so annoying" said Matthew "When did he get my badge?" said Lily "Oh.......... yeah" replied Matthew staring at lily.

Then they go to the gym with awkward silence. They get to the front of the gym "Wow it looks like a swimming pool centre" said Matthew "Yeah it kinda does" said Tom "ok then lets go!" said lily "Woo hoo! my first Gym battle that I'm watching" cheered Acerola and then they walk in, "I'm here for a battle against the gym leader please" said Matthew to the lady at the desk "sure right through that door " she replied then they went in. The field was a swimming pool "What the how do i battle on that?" "Trust me there will be a way" said Lily . Lily, Tom and Acerola take a seat and Matthew got given a swim suit that he had to wear just in case he got wet it was a black with a blue stripe going down the sides of his body and there was no head part. "Cool this suit is awesome" said Matthew "Here comes the gym leader Bryson" said the referee then a man comes in the field room and he is in suit as well which is Matthew's but the stripe is red. Him and Matthew swim to there platforms on the pool "woah it so unstable to stand on this since its on water" said Matthew. He looks down at the water and shivers of fear went up his spine he was thinking about what would happen if he fell in!

"We are here today to see Matthew the challenger verse the Niddrie town city gym leader Bryson four pokemon each and only the challenger can use substitutions" said The referee "four pokemon who should i choose there is Dandan, Greninja, Hawlucha, Vaporeon, Sheb, and Juplo and of course cute little Omanyte who is probably still sleeping in my bag" thought Matthew "ok go Starmie" says Bryson and he throws out a pokeball and a Starfish like pokemon comes out "Ok then go Dandan" said Matthew "Oh a great choice seeing Electric is super effective against Water types" said Tom "Yay go Matthew!" cheered the girls. "Ok Starmie use Psybeam" Said Bryson "Oh yeah its water/psychic ok go use Thunderbolt" ordered Matthew "DAN DAN" cried Dandan and it shoots a bolt of lightning at Starmie "Its super effective" said Acerola "Yeah alright" cheered Matthew Starmie was still barley up and was infected with paralysis. "Its weak go use electro ball and finish it off" said Matthew . Then Dandan used electro ball and it hit Starmie. "Starmie is unable to battle which means the first round goes to Dandan" said the referee "Yeah alright" said Matthew.

"Well done Starmie you did good now return" said Bryson. Then Starmie was returned to his pokeball "Ok then go Gyrados" said Bryson then he chucks a pokeball and out comes a massive flying dragon "Woah Dandan I'm really sorry" said Matthew Then Dandan turns his head and looks at Matthew with a 'why are you making me do this' face. "Umm ok then go Dandan use Thunder!" ordered Matthew then Dandan went up and shot a massive bolt of lightning and it hit directly on Gyrados "Oh no Gyrados" cried Bryson. But Gyrados was ok but did look damaged "Ok now use Crunch" said Bryson and Gyrados charged at Dandan with its sharp viscous teeth 'crunch' "Oh no Dandan" Cried Matthew "Will Dandan be ok" said Acerola "lets see" said Tom then Dandan got up and cried "DAN!!!!!!" and it started glowing "Woah is Dandan evolving?" said Lily "But thats impossible! its an only 2 stage evolution chain Daniel , Dandan and...... Mega Dandan i forgot" said Tom.

Then the glowing stopped and Dandan was now mega and had amour and was a lot taller and a massive long sword in his hand "Dandan" said Dandan "well i guess there now even in height?" said Matthew "Dandan use what the Thunder blade?" said Matthew "Hey Matthew Dandan learns the move Thunderblade every time it mega's" cried Tom from the bleachers "Ok then Dandan use Thunder blade!" ordered Matthew Then Dandan's sword had electric enegry around it and Dandan went up and slashed at Gyrados and then Gyrados fainted. "Gyrados is unable to battle which means that round goes to Dandan" said the referee "way to go!" cheered Matthew. "Ok go Lapras" said Bryson then Lapras came out "Oh so cute" said the girls "Yeah i guess" said Tom "Ok Dandan use Electro ball" said Matthew "Quick use protect" said Bryson then a shield came up in front of Lapras and the Electro ball did nothing "Oh no protect wears off in five rounds sigh" said Matthew "Now Lapras use perish song" ordered Bryson. Then Lapras sung a beautiful song "Wow I'm so scared" said Matthew sarcastically then a 3 went over Dandan's Head "Oh no it.......begins" said Tom "What does?" asked the girls "Well little does Matthew think but you see Bryson is very smart so Lapras used protect so no attacks can hurt it for 5 rounds and perish song goes for three rounds and that counts as Lapras' attack for three rounds and when the three on Dandan's head counts down to 0 Lapras and Dandan will just faint" said Tom "Oh no!" cried Lily "Ok then Dandan get your speed up with agility" said Matthew then Dandan was running around the field building up speed......Then the 3 went to 2...... "Why isn't Lapras attacking? but i cant attack it either seeing its got protect on" thought Matthew "Ummm keep it up with agility" ...........Then the 2 became 1......."ok keep going with agility" said Matthew totally unaware of whats happening.........then the 1 became 0...... Then Dandan just flopped to the ground and so did Lapras. "Seeing it was perish song That round was a tie but Matthew is still winning" said the referee "what the oh no Dandan!" cried Matthew "Oh no take a good rest" said Matthew returning Dandan to its pokeball "ok well done Lapras return" said Bryson then Lapras returned into its ball.

"ok go Walrien" said Bryson "Oh Walrien its super effective if i use fighting moves" said Matthew "so go Hawlucha" said Matthew and out of its pokeball emerged Hawlucha. "CHAA" squawked Hawlucha then it started showing of its muscles "Tee hee i love Hawlucha he never takes battles seriously" said Lily "Ok Hawlucha use Double kick" said Matthew then Hawlucha jumped over to hit Walrien with its foot going into its face but Walrien dodged it by going under water "What the?" said Matthew then Walrien jumped out of the water "go Walrien use Ice beam on the field" said Bryson and then the whole pool water was frozen solid ice. Hawlucha was slipping and sliding around "Don't loose focus Hawlucha use flying press" said Matthew "Quick dodge" said Bryson then Walrien dodged out of the way of the flying press "quick again!" cried Matthew then Hawlucha flying press hit Walrien and it fell to the ground "Oh no Walrien!" cried Bryson "Walrien is unable to battle so the winner of this match is Matthew" said The referee "yeah alright" cheered Matthew then he jumped off his platform to land on the ice and then when he landed the ice broke and he and Bryson fell straight into the pool. "Ha ha ha ha" laughed Tom, Lily, Acerola and the referee.

"so.......c c c cold......." shivered Matthew then he got out of the pool " i.....i..i thought i wouldn't need the suit but i guess i did" said Matthew. Then after he got changed and dried off he went into the main area of the gym "Here take this the river badge" said Bryson giving the badge over to Matthew "Thank you so much!" replied Matthew "Come back soon but don't get me wet next time un less i say so ok?" said Bryson "Ok then! see ya!" said Matthew then him and his friends walked out of the gym.
