Pokémon A New Beginning

Chapter 38

Matthew and his friends eyes sparkled as they look at the final door. It was about as tall as a two story building with a little door at the bottom for people to open. It had a triangular shape with neon blue, pink and purple lights around the edges. The door was made out of white tinted glass and a triangular handle double the size of a hand. The hall was quiet. All the big metal doors echoing and the neon tube lights buzzing the static sound. "Are you ready?" asked Lily. Lily walked up to the left of Matthew. Tom walked up on the right of Matthew. Tom held Matthew's hand and Matthew turned his head to him. Matthew and Tom nodded. Lily held Matthew's other hand and she smiled. 

"From when you tripped on my shoe" said Lily. "And I watched your first gym battle against Ronan" added Tom. "We were always meant to be/" said Lily "Best friends..." said Matthew cutting off Lily. Max held Tom's hand and Ronan held Lily's. "From gym 1 - 8 and elite 1 - 4 I'm finally at the end of my pokemon journey" Matthew said. "We have been through some weird things" said Lily. "And gotten into fights over silly things haha" added Tom. "Hehe... Yeahhh" replied Matthew giggling. "So... "Ok in we go?" for the final time?" asked Lily. Matthew nodded. Matthew went over and pushed open the door that lead to the champion chamber. 

"Woahhh" they all said in amazement. It was a very tight one person at a time stairwell. The staircase up was carpet with the pattern you would find at an 1980s arcade. The hand railing was a cold metal. It was dark in there the only lighting were the neon sign lights coloured blue, pink and purple. the static noise continued of the lights . "Let's go up then". They filed up the stairs admiring the vaporware aesthetic of the stair case. As they got higher and closer to the chamber they could hear some Lo-fi music playing. "I think I can see the door" cheered Matthew. He started sprinting up until he finally made it to the door. "There's a piece of paper with a riddle on it? and a word code" said Matthew. "Maybe the answer to the riddle would be the worded password" replied Lily. "Well come on mate, read it out" replied Max. "I have cities, but no houses. I have mountains, but no trees. I have water, but no fish. What am I?"  read out Matthew. "I'm stumped! I hate riddles!" replied Tom. "Agreed" said Ronan.

"A map..." whispered Lily to herself. "It's a Map! It shows cities but not buildings, it shows mountains but not trees and it shows places of water but no fish in them!" "Good thinking Lily!" Ronan said. "Put it in the password thingy then Matt" said Max. Matthew nodded and in put the word Map into the password. The lock responded correct, then the door opened up. Mist moved from the door. "Woahhh" they all said in amazement. The chamber was amazing. It had large stone pillars. The outskirts of the room had the same neon pink, blue purple lights. The battle stage was floating. There were a waterfall for every corner of the room lightened up by pink and blue lights. The walls were filled with glow signs of katakana writing and vibrant images. "Wow! I can't believe I left my leg warmers at home" joked Lily.

"Ahhh, Look who finally made it" said Aidan. He was at the floating battlefield looking down on us from up above. "How do I get up?" asked Matthew. Then glass stair case stretched from the ground up to meet with the battlefield ground. The friends ran up the stairs and everyone took a seat except for Matthew and Aidan. "Are you ready?" Aidan asked. "I was born ready" replied Matthew. Some very energetic 1980s music begun to play. Matthew chucked out Greninja. Aidan chucked out Charizard. "Hmm a fire type, luckily I have dark moves too" thought Matthew. "I'll let you go first" called out Aidan. "Greninja! Dark pulse!"cried Matthew.

Greninja jumped in the air and threw a ball of dark energy at Charizard. Charizard flew out of the way. "TOGEDEMARU! TOGEDEMARU!" cried Togedemaru. It seemed extremely stressed. "What's wrong Togedemaru?" asked Lily. Togedemaru jumped out of Lily's arms and started to run to the exit. "Togedemaru! wait!" cried Lily. The friends got up and ran after it. Then a big animal crashes through the chamber. "BOOOM". Everyone flew back and landed on the ground. Matthew and his friends were all knocked out....
