Wake up lily we need to get to Essendon city" said Matthew enthusicly "alright " says lily they pack up the tents and go out back on the path "hey look Matthew Essendon city," said lily "Essendon city gym here I come" cheered Matthew as he rushes to the gym they go in the door "woah" said Matthew "hey I'm Ronan the Essendon city gym leader" said Ronan "hi I'm Matthew and I'm here to challenge you for a badge" said Matthew "ok then I specialise in electric types so let's do this magnemite go" Ronan through a pokeball and out comes magnemite. "Alright then go juplo" said matthew as he throughs out the pokeball. "we are here today to watch matthew the challenger vs the Essendon city gym leader ronan" said the referee " two pokemon are allowed and only the challenger can use substations" "ok ill go first juplo use bite" orded matthew juplo runs up to magnemite with its teeth showing "magnemite use thunderbolt" said ronan magnemite shoots a thunderbolt out directly at juplo its a critical hit "oh no juplo!" yells matthew "can you still battle" "juplo!" says juplo as he gets back up "ok juplo use bite" demands matthew but juplo doesn't use bite it uses dark pulse "juplo" it screams as a strong dark pulse shots out of its mouth and it makes magnemite faint. "magnemite is unable to battle juplo wins" says the referee "Way to go" cheeres matthew "Yay Go Matthew!" cheers lily A boy walks up to the window and sees matthew battling "hmm'he says so he walks into the gym "good job magnemite return take a good rest" says ronan as magnemite get sucked into the pokeball "alright then go helioptile" says ronan as he chucks the pokeball onto the field. Out comes helioptile "heli heli" says helioptile "alright juplo use dark pulse" orded matthew a critical hit and helioptile fainted "helioptile is unable to battle which means the match goes to matthew the challenger" "Way to go!" cheers lily "thankyou it was my honour battling you here is the zap badge" says ronan as he gives matthew the badge "alright matthew now to the next gym in Moonee ponds city" says lily "ok what are we wating for? lets go!" says matthew
They dash out the door and a boy stops them " hey I saw you battling and you were awesome!" says the boy " oh hi I'm Matthew" says matthew "and Im lily" Says lily "nice to meet you my name is tom I just got off the ship at the Essendon city dock from the hoenn reigon" "oh cool the hoenn region my best friend may lives there in littleroot town" says lily "oh yeah may shes nice!" says tom. "hey do you wanna come with us on our journey?" askes Matthew "Really?" answers tom "Yeah for sure I love travelling with friends!" says matthew "ok lets go!" says matthew and tom "Umm ya no the gym in moonee ponds city isn't going anywhere" says Lily as she slowly followes the boys who have already rushed ahead
