Darkness has fell over Gotham and you casually sat on the edge of an old building. It used to be a old sweet shop. Ran-grass was it's name, a bit odd but it was the best. You went almost every week when your mother would give you some pocket money. It was burnt down and has been since two years ago when two face went on one of his murderous rampages. You sighed the other criminals will be roaming the streets soon and causing another night of hell for the people of Gotham.

A loud thud came from behind you, you jumped up quickly and readied yourself for a fight. You looked before and there stood Batman, usually a rare sight but to see him twice in three days is unbelievable.

You lowered your fists and your eyes to the floor, "I-uh...Hi?" you say in a small voice.

His eyes narrowed at you "What are you doing up here? It's not safe."

You huffed and sat back in your previous place on the edge, "I have endanger myself far worse than this when I was a reporter."

You half expected the vigilante to disappear once again so it shocked you when he sat down next to you. "Was a reporter?"

You let out a little laugh and thought 'ever the detective'.

"Yes was. I lost my job because someone kept stealing my stories." You voice was sad as you watched a man try to take an old woman's purse. Before Batman could jump down to help the woman started to hit her attacker with said purse all while shouting profanities. This earned you a little laugh again. The vigilante straighten up and said,

"I maybe be able to help you (Y/N). But for now I need to go."

With that he left you sitting on the roof of Ran-grass with a look of confusion written across your face. Ten minutes later you stood up and left to go home.

The next day a letter came through the mailbox, which was truly unexpected. Quickly you opened it up and the logo of Wayne Enterprises flashed proudly on top of the letter. You began to read it;

Dear (Y/N),

I am writing to offer you a job at Wayne Enterprises as part of my public relations department. I was informed of your current predicament from a mutual friend and I want to help. I believe this arrangement will be and can be beneficial to us both.

If you are interested in applying for the job, come see me on the 23rd of October at the Wayne Enterprise building. I will be on a business trip up until then but if you require any further information just call or email me.

Yours sincerely,

Bruce Wayne

Owner of Wayne Enterprises

You sat there with the letter in hand and a hand over your mouth in disbelief. You looked to the calendar on the wall, the meeting would take place three months from now.
