How He Confesses - Barry Allen

For once you were happy and currently sitting outside your home in the garden. The parasol cast'd a protective shadow over you as the sun beat down onto you. You were reading (F/B) and it was getting to your favorite part when it was taken out of your hands.

"C'mon you're coming with me."

Upon hearing the voice you smiled instead of getting angry and look up to see Barry standing there with your book in his hand.

"And where do tell will you be taking me Mr. Allen?"

He got in real close to your face and you started to blush due to the lack of space between you both.

"It's a secret."

You rolled your eyes, grabbing your book place it inside of your house. Barry grabbed your hand as soon as you came out of the house and dragged you down the street. You passed under the the main highways and into the woods, Barry with your hand still in his bought you to a small lake. 

You sat down at the lakes edge and started to talk,

"Why'd you bring me here Barry? or is there no reason?"

Allen lay down and took your hand in his again,

"I know you haven't had the best life lately and I thought I could take you to a place where you could clear your mind. It has always helped me."

You squeeze his hand in a means to comfort him, it was nice. You moved from your sitting position to lie down next to him and you looked at him.

"You said it helped you, why did you need to come here? Your the happiest person I've ever met."

He kept his eyes trained on the sky as he began to answer your question,

"I get very stressed easily considering I have two jobs. Well I have one job as a forensic scientist and the other one isn't exactly a 'job'. I'll tell you about that later. I found this little while on a run to clear my head and I've been visiting this place for stress relief ever since."

You hummed in response and lightly closed your eyes.

"There was also another reason why I wanted to bring you to this place. I wanted to ask if you would go out with me sometime?"

You eyes widen back up as you openly stared at him, he was still looking up at the sky purposely avoiding your own eyes. You brought your hand to his face and moved it so he was looking back at you.

"Of course I will Barry."

He smiled at your answer and quickly hugged you against him. It was quiet but you still heard the whoop that left his mouth in a whisper.
