How you meet Clark Kent

You looked up at the large building that is to be your new place of work and silently swallowed. The Daily Planet, you have just become a new reporter for the newspaper business and already you are confused as to where to go, the building was huge. You found yourself in the lobby and head towards the front desk.

"I-um...I've just started work here but I'm unsure where to go."

The woman at the desk look at you and smiled,

"Okay, what's your name?"

"My name is (Y/N) (L/N)."

The woman looked towards her computer and waited a couple of minutes.

"You are to be on one of the higher floors, floor number .... Oh hold on. Mr Kent!"

As the woman shouted a man turned to face her and walked over with a smile on his face.

"Mr Kent, can you take Miss (L/N) here with you. She has just started and she is to start work on the same floor as you."

The man called Clark turned to you with a smile on his face and held out a hand to you.

"Nice to meet you Miss (L/N). My name's Clark Kent."

You grab his hand and shook it,

"Lovely to meet you Mr Kent. My name's (Y/N)."

He let out a small laugh, taking his hand back,

"Please just Clark."

You smiled at him

"Okay this way (Y/N)."

Both of you headed towards the lift and waited a few seconds for the doors to open. Once inside Clark pushed one of the many buttons that littered the elevator and it began to move up. He looked down slightly towards you.

"So are you new to Metropolis or have you been here for a while."

You looked down and began to play with your hands a little,

"I've been here for a few days, just moved out of Gotham actually. Can't do much there, if you're not a mob boss, you're a mob boss' lackey and if you're neither then it's to the gutters or to the high part of Gotham which both are still not a place you want to be."

Your head shot up to Clark's face,

"Sorry, You really didn't need to know that."

He put a hand on your shoulder and give it a friendly squeeze.

"It's alright and besides we're here."

As on cue the elevator doors opened to a whole floor of cubicles filled with people. An angry looking man approached you both, his face completely red,

"Clark! You better have a good explanation of why you are late again!"

Clark rubbed his neck nervously while glancing down at you.

"W-Well I was just showing (Y/N) here where she needed to be."

Perry looked down at you, only now noticing you were standing next to Kent. The old man seemed to calm down and held out a hand, you shook the hand that was offered to you.

"You our new reporter then good thing Clark showed you where to go, the only good thing he has done all week. You will be sharing an office with him and Lois Lane."

You let go of his hand and nodded,

"Clark you better have that report on my desk by the end of the day or you're fired."

"Yes, sir."

Clark began to gently pushing you towards his office where a woman was already sat at a computer. The woman who you assumed was Lois looked up at you and Clark as you entered through the office door.

"Clark, who is this?"

"(Y/N) meet Lois, Lois meet (Y/N). She the new reporter Perry was telling you about."

"Nice to meet you (Y/N)."

After you and the other two greeted each other and talked for a little while, you sat down at the desk and began your work.
