It had been a full year since the Flash saved Central City from the hole in the sky and they were holding another Flash Day to celebrate that day. Of course extra precaution have been made by Star Labs to make sure it wasn't interrupted by another 'Meta-Human' as they call them.
It was your mother's idea to bring out to the celebration as a way to bond with you more, you were of course happy to see your mam actually wanting to get closer to you. You do wish that Barry could have been beside you but he was called in to the CCPD for a case and you didn't want to keep him from his work.
You watched on as small children were running around and trying all of the rides that scattered across the area and listened as the mayor did a speech on how the Flash saved the city and asked if he could come onto the stage.
Unlike last time the scarlet speedster didn't waste anytime and walked towards the mayor. You continued to watch on as he made a promise to ensure the city's continued safety and he look out towards you and smiled. But you were sure that he was looking at someone else around you but that's the thing no one else was there, your mother had gone to get some food and drink for you both.
You awkwardly smiled back and he dashed off some where else and the mayor made a closing speech.
A hand touched your shoulder and you spun round to catch the culprit and Barry was standing there with a grin on his face. You grinned and hugged him closely before asking, "What are you doing here, you said you had work?"
He hugged you back and replied with, "I finished it earlier, so I could see you."
