Three Months Later:

Theo woke up early in the morning. His usual routine. Get up, get ready for work, eat breakfast and go to office and then spend the whole day there, then come home late at night, Eat dinner, shower then work till early morning. He hardly sleeps at all with the work pressure. He wanted to try something different. To go for vacation like how he used to when he was very young. He can't even take a break during weekend. He always had to give up his weekend for business trips or meetings. His parents doesn't even appreciate his works and his hard work but instead points out his mistakes and make him do more work. He just finished getting ready and was going down for breakfast when he got a phone call. It was his mom. He learnt as a child that when his mom calls him it means she wants something from him. She calls him not to ask how he is doing, not to ask if he is having trouble and needs help, not to ask if he ate his meals, not to ask about his opinion. Their phone calls were basically just business talks.
"Good morning, Mother. " he said politely.
" Theodore. " his mom said with no sign of affection at all." I have set up a date for you with Mr and Mrs. Williams' daughter. You know them? If you win her heart and marry her we will have the biggest empire in California. Since, she is the only child. Her parents expects their son-in-law to treat their daughter like a princess, and if you do we can have an empire for our self.
Theodore smiled bitterly.
"Mother." he said coldly. "I have another business meeting today."
Theodore didn't like how his mom was acting so cold-hearted. Didn't she know that love is not about business deals? Neither it is about getting a materialistic thing?
"Don't worry, I spoke personally with your assistant and I have change your schedule. "
" Mother. " Theo said as coolly as possible.
" Theodore, she will be wearing a white dress. She will wait for you in The Cafe around 4 pm. I am busy. Make sure you are not late and treat her good. It will be good for us. " and with that she ended the call without even saying 'Bye'.
Theodore laughed coldly.
He was not in a good mood now. His cousin Adrian was sitting on the breakfast table. Since, Theodore stays alone in this house his cousin Adrian drops by every time. Adrian basically shifted to Theo's house.
"Good morning, brother. " Adrian said cheerfully.
Adrian was the total opposite of Theo. He is an extrovert. He loves traveling and exploring places. He went against his parents when his parents was forcing him to join their business. Adrian instead started his own business which is going successful because he is doing the things he love. Since he like designing. He have his own clothing lines and own interior designing company.
"Mom called."
"I see.... Another business meeting?" Adrian questioned. He feels bad for his cousin as his cousin never ever had free time to enjoy and relax. Everyday he works and that's how Theodore Anderson became a cold hearted person for everyone. Adrian knows that deep down inside Theo's cold heart there is a boy who wants to be loved and who wants to love.
"She had plan for a 'Business Date' with a girl. "
" Business Date?"
"Yeah, she said that if that girl likes me then we will get married and then my parents will have a new empire for themselves. "
" This is so sick" Adrian said bitterly.
"I know. "
" What are you planning?"
"I will just go and meet the girl."
"Shall I accompany you? "
" I will be fine."
And that's when Adrian knew that Theo didn't wanted him to come. But, that is not stopping him from coming. He decided he will follow Theo and see what will happen and maybe step in to help Theo a little bit.
