The Shooting Star

Chapter 6

Three months back:

"How will we survive here?" Skylar asked Daniella as they sat together under the sky full of stars.

It was almost 2 hours now since they landed on earth.

"I have no idea. Someone might come down to explain to us. " Daniella said shrugging.

Just then someone landed behind them. They turned around it was their professor.

" woops" He said brushing his clothes with his hands like there was dust on his clothes.

"Professor Will." both the girls said in excitement.

"How are you girls doing?" He asked.

"Professor, what are we doing over here?" Skylar asked.

"I am actually here because of you two." he answered sympathetically.

" What happened? Why are we here anyways?" Daniella asked.

"When we elders tells you to follow something, it is always because there are reasons behind it. You two broke the rules and here we are." He said.

" Is there anyway to go back?" Skylar asked.

"Master is disappointed with you two, but he can't help in this situation because someone made a wish seeing you two. Master was pleased with the person who wished so he granted them."

"You mean we have to stay here and grant their wishes?" Daniella asked.

"How long we have to stay here?" Skylar asked.

The professor give them a sad smile.

"Until their wishes are fulfilled."

"You mean if the wishes will take years we will stay here for years? How will we survive here? We don't know anyone. Where will we stay?" Skylar asked getting worried. 

"We have plans for you two, Your mission is to look for the person and help them with their wishes."

"Why can't you just tell us who and where they are? Make it simpler for us?" Skylar said.

"You can't use shortcuts." the professor smiled. " A man is coming to pick you two up. He will be your mentor here. If you need help you can always go to him."

"What about you?" Daniella asked.

"I have to go back, but I will visit you guys whenever I can. We all hope you two will come back soon." 

" I will give you two a hint before I leave. Daniella have to help Theodore Anderson and Skylar have to help Adrian Anderson." With that said he vanished into thin airs.

"I am sorry." Skylar apologizes again. She was very guilty. If only she could go back and change everything.

"It's okay. We will help the person and go back there soon. I think the person who needs our help is in trouble." Daniella reassured Skylar.

"I will never do that again."

Daniella smiled.

Just then the sound of a car engine is heard. A car comes in view. The car stops a few feet away from them and a man with salt and pepper hair color comes out.

"Hello girls, My name is Henry Davis and I will be your mentor over here. Welcome to the earth." he said.

Daniella and Skylar looked at each other and at the man who was smiling warmly at them.

" I am Daniella and she is Skylar." Daniella introduced both of them to Henry.

"Well, get into the car we will get going. We are going to the city. It will take us 2 hours to get you to the destination."

"You stay in the city?" Skylar asked.

"Yes and No. I prefer staying away from the city, but now i have to go back." he laughed. "City lives are wild." 

They got inside the car with both the girls sitting at the back. Henry started driving.

"I am sure you two are curious about many things. Feel free to question. It will take us a lot of time to get to the city."

"Where are we staying?" Daniella asked.

"Some people are arranging the house now, where you two will be staying." he said. " It will be just you two."

"How do you know about our kind?" Skylar asked.

He laughed.

" You won't believe me." he said.

"Try it." 

"I was once like you two, but  I landed few years older than you two."

"No way." Daniella said.

"I told you." he said laughing.

" So the people helping now with arrangement are also?" Daniella asked.

"No." He said. "They are just helping me. I told them that my nieces are coming and it was a last moment plan and I have to pick you guys up."

"Humans" Skylar said.

"Yup, you two have to be very careful about it. Your identity must be a secret." He said.

"So apart from helping the person. What else we have to do?"

"You two have to adapt with the lifestyle over here. Then if you want you two can work. You don't actually need to work because we will be providing you two with everything. You will be getting two separate cars and money to spend here." He explains.

"I feel it is better we both work too..." Daniella said.

"Whatever you are comfortable with." Henry said.

"Do you know the person we are suppose to help?"

"I was not told about the person's information." He said.

"I am suppose to help some guy call Adrian Anderson." Skylar said.

"Never heard of him."

"The person I have to help is call Theodore Anderson."

"What?" Henry stopped the car all of a sudden and looked back. " It better not be the guy who I think it is." 

The two girls looked at him.

"If it is that Theodore then you have to be extra careful because he is an influential person and if you are seen with him, people will look for your information and make it viral."

Daniella was unsure now. Henry started driving.

"If it is that Theodore that means Adrian most probably is related to him." He said thoughtfully.

"Who is that guy?" Daniella asked.

"He is a businessman who have the biggest company in California. His business are spread worldwide."

After a long silence, Henry said.

"You two must be Hungry. We will try some earthly food?" he said looking at them from the rear view mirror.

"Sure." They both answered.

"Tomorrow you two will be going shopping with a girl. She will help you two with the trends and all the things the youngsters do today." he laughed.

Daniella looked up at the sky and pleaded silently that everything will be okay and she can go back home fast. She can now see few stars shining and twinkling as they drove to the city.
