Arjun practiced day and night in front of the mirror about how he will talk to Vrinda 'informally' and about how he will confess his feelings in front of her. He practiced and failed again and again...

"Hello, my name is... no no, this will be too formal, umm... hey, what's up... no no no, way too informal. Umm, hola amigo! Really?" He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed in frustration. "That's the best way to kill your swag. Urghh why is it so difficult to talk to her? She's just another girl."

He continued his monologue and spoke, "She's not just another girl, you loser. She is Vrinda. The one you like!"

Haha, how amusing was it that a person like Arjun who was always surrounded by girls before was shy and getting nervous to talk to a girl now.

Keeping his negative thoughts aside he motivated himself and said,

"Forget it. You are 'The Arjun' and you shouldn't be afraid of facing a girl! Come on! You're a man... you can do it, you will do it, yes, you will..." Arjun encouraged himself as he ran his hands through his hair.

This continued for a long time before his mother entered the room only to look at his son, standing in front of the mirror, reciting a bunch of words which absolutely made no sense to her.

"What are you doing Arjun?" His mother asked. Arjun got startled and jumped a little and then looked at his mother through the mirror.

Arjun did not hear his mother come in and still continued to practice in front of the mirror. When his mother called him again, a little more loudly and tapped on his shoulder, he jumped a little and said, "Damnit mom. Can you just give me a hint next time before you enter my room? You nearly gave me a heart attack." And then sighed to regain his composure.

His mother chuckled and said, "Of course son. I will. What were you mumbling in front of the mirror before I came here?"

"Uh, nothing. Just practicing for a meeting that I have to attend tomorrow. It's really important. I have to make sure I get that right. It might just turn out to be a life changing opportunity." Arjun spoke, telling half truth. His meeting was very important. The only thing was that his mother thought t was for his office work whereas he had a meeting with Vrinda.

Arjun had never tried so hard to impress a girl before her. He was certainly not a player but he did attract attentions of a lot of girls wherever he went. His charm had always been spot on and he wanted it to just life that before Vrinda too.

His day passed in a matter of minutes and he was still as nervous as he was in the morning, if not more. He had practiced a lot but was still very under confident about the whole 'talk.'

He couldn't sleep that night thinking of what he'll say and do but then he forcefully closed his eyes as because he thought he had to look fresh and presentable the next morning. Arjun slept that night with a sweaty forehead and a preoccupied mind. He could not get his mind to rest itself and not think about all the possibilities that were possible.

He tossed and turned all night but couldn't close his eyes, not even for a quick nap.

"What the hell!" He cursed under his breath and got up because he couldn't sleep anymore. When he glanced at the clock on his bedside he saw that it was only four in the morning.

"You know what, leave it. I'll just go for a run, come back and get ready. I'm not going to get any sleep tonight anyway." Arjun spoke to himself. He folded his blanket, made his bed and then went into the washroom to freshen up. Ten minutes later, he was out of his house with his track pants and a t-shirt for a jog in the park. He put on his earphones and played music at full volume and hoped that the music could submerge his racing mind that did not seem to stop thinking things over and over again.

He came back home at half past five and saw his father in his usual rocking chair, reading the newspaper. He wished him good morning and then went to the kitchen to make tea for himself and his father.

"Here is your morning tea, dad. Mom was not feeling well so I made it for you, just like you like, one spoon no sugar and two spoons of milk with a drop of ginger essence."

"Thank you, son." His father replied.

"You're welcome." Arjun replied and then went inside to get ready for his meeting.

After an hour long shower, he came out, only in a towel wrapped around his waist and went into his closet to choose his attire for the day. He didn't want to look over the top so he just settled with a white stripped shirt and black jeans and paired it with white shoes. After looking himself in the mirror and checking if it was up to the mark, he started to fiddle with his thumbs because he became nervous, thinking about the day.

"I really hope I don't make a fool out of myself today and I really hope things go well." Arjun muttered to himself while looking in the mirror.

He took out the phone which he had kept on his night stand checked the time.

8:00 am.

"Mom, I'm leaving for the office. I'll see you in the evening. Bye!" Arjun spoke from the front of his house as he was exiting.

"Alright honey! Best of luck for your meeting!" Her mother came out of the house to see him off.

Arjun kissed his mother's cheek and then went up to his bike, started the engine and drove away to his office. He had figured out that the bank that Vrinda worked in, used to close at five-thirty in the evening and Vrinda used to take the charted bus to her house at six. So he decided that the only place where he could talk to Vrinda would be when she would be waiting on the bus stand for her bus to arrive. He was anticipating the day to go well but wasn't feeling very confident because he felt nervous which he didn't understand because he usually was the confident sorts who never used to her intimidated. He was the one who always wore an aura of confidence and made people feel intimidated.
