Like all children, Vrinda and Arjun's daughter was also very small and weighed 2 kilograms only. Her hands were so small that it looked like the hands of a small doll. Her feet were the size of Arjun's palm.

When Vrinda held her in her arms for the first time, it gave her an inexplicable feeling of love, affection and to some extent, possession.

They both loved her unconditionally. The love that was in their eyes for their daughter was beyond description. She was their little princess and they both swore that they will do everything in their capacities to protect her from all the things that are bad in the world.

"I can't believe that I am a father now." Arjun said as he held his little girl in his arms, watching her sleep, peacefully.

"I know, it is indeed difficult to come to terms with the fact that we are parents of little baby girl of ours." Vrinda replied.

"Yeah, anyway, I was going to get some coffee and talk to the doctors for a bit. I'll put her in the crib and you get a good sleep, okay?" Arjun said.

"No! Give her to me. I want to sleep with her tonight." Vrinda said and held her arms out to take the child in her arms.

"Okay, here." Arjun said and gave her to Vrinda and left Vrinda's room.

"Room 208, room 208, room, ah! Here it is." Arjun said as he came to stand in front of the doctor's room. He went up to the door and knocked on it.

"Come in!" Said the doctor from inside.

"Good evening, Mrs. Diwakar, I just wanted to talk to you about Vrinda." Arjun said as he stood near her table.

"Yes, of course, what is it?" Asked the doctor.

"I just wanted to know when can Vrinda be relieved? She really feels bored in the hospital environment." Arjun asked.

"I will observe her tomorrow and if all her stats are fine, then she'll be relived tomorrow only." The doctor replied.

"Thanks Doc." Arjun said. The doctor smiled at him and then resumed her work of going through another file of a patient.

"Thank god, finally I'll be able to bring my babies home." Arjun spoke to himself.

He entered Vrinda's hospital room as quietly as possible because it was late at night and found Vrinda gazing lovingly at her daughter.

"Don't you think it's a little late?" Arjun asked as he approached Vrinda.

She hadn't seen him coming so she jumped a little as she was startled by his voice.

She peeled her eyes away from her daughter's face and was met with Arjun's. Then Vrinda smiled, embarrassed, and spoke in a soft voice so that it doesn't wake their daughter,

"Yeah, I think you are right. Here, take her and put her in her crib for me." She said as she handed her daughter over to him.

Arjun nodded and took her in his arms and gently paced her in her crib that was placed in the far corner of the room. Then he bent down and kissed her forehead and said his good nights to her.

"You should sleep. You must be really tired. By the way, I talked to the doctor and she said that she'll come tomorrow to examine your stitches and if everything is fine, you'll get to go home!" Arjun spoke and Vrinda smiled in anticipation of going home.

"Thank God, I am really tired of having the bland hospital food. I crave some spice in my diet." Vrinda whined.

"Once we reach home, you can have whatever you want to have." Arjun said.
