Everything was sorted, all misunderstandings cleared. Both Arjun and Vrinda were content in their lives. They were in a happy relation and were very excited as the day of their engagement was very near. They both were nervous bundles of wreck but did not want to accept that and always played it cool around each other.

No one used to question their status anymore. They were almost fiancés. They used to roam around together a lot more now because it was official. Their offices were also near each other so that added to it all very easily. They used to meet almost everyday during their lunch breaks and then again, once their offices had ended.

They were happy with each other and that was visible in their good moods even after they had dispersed. But the fire inside Mr. Trikha's mind was burning with rage. He was growing angrier by the day and Arjun's happiness acted like fuel to the fire.

"I am going to take back my respect in this family. No one disrespects me and my decisions. No one!" Mr. Trikha thought to himself.

And because Arjun had gone against the 'father figure' of the house, his mother now opposed the marriage too.

"Arjun should have never gone against his decisions. He will know what is good for him and what is bad." Spoke Arjun's mother to her husband.

"It's okay. He loves the girl. He knows what is good for himself too. He is mature and wise enough to make his own decisions of life." Spoke his father and terminated the conversation.

Arjun's mother was in a fix as to who to follow, her husband or Mr. Trikha. She tried a lot to stop the marriage and made excuses so that Arjun couldn't go for his dates with Vrinda.

But she didn't speak anything directly from her mouth. She just showed her unwillingness through her behaviour and body language which was quite evident as well. Arjun took these hints but never acted on them because it was never made clear to him again of what he should do. He eventually began to feel like nobody had any objections to this wedding.

But almost everyone Arjun's family had started getting all negative about this marriage, his mother, Mr. Trikha and soon all her sisters. No one realised that none of it mattered as long as this was still going forward.

Their date was fixed and it was to take place in two weeks. Both Vrinda and Arjun were very excited to see how life would turn out for them after that day. The nervousness seemed to lessen with each day getting close to the final day.

"I am so excited to call you my fiancé. I can't even wait for the day! God!" Arjun said to Vrinda. They both had met at the coffee house during their lunch break.

"Same, I'm absolutely thrilled but nervous. That reminds me, have so bought your tie?" Vrinda asked.

"No, not really, I was actually hoping that you'll at least tell me the colour of your dress so that I can match the colour of my tie with it." Arjun said and then took Vrinda's hand into his own.

Vrinda blushed at his gesture and then looked at the waitress who had come to deliver their order.

"Here are your coffees and ma'am can I just say that you guys are definitely the cutest couple I have ever seen in this place." Said the waitress and Vrinda flushed red on her statement. Arjun just chucked looking at her face and just smiled warmly at the waitress.

"God, I am not coming out with you ever again. This is so embarrassing." Vrinda said and buried her face in her hands.

"Oh come on, it's cute. It's been so long that we've been together and you still shy from me. I still make you blush. That is the cutest version of you that I get to see and I am glad that I am the one that makes your cheeks go all red in front of the world." Arjun spoke.

"I do not shy away. I don't even blush, okay." Vrinda defended

"You do." Arjun argued.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Alright, let me see if you blush at this or not." Arjun said and took out a napkin from the stand beside him and then scribbled something on it and passed it to Vrinda.

Vrinda just laughed at him and took the napkin to find 'I Love You' written on it.

She couldn't help but blush a little before composing herself and saying, "Nope, you've got to try harder than this."

"Is that so? Okay, how about this then?" Arjun said and then got up from his seat and planted a small kiss on her cheek. When he saw her flushed cheeks, he smiled triumphantly and settled back in his seat. He just stared at Vrinda without uttering anything.

Before any of them could speak anything else, an old couple walked by them and said,

"May God bless both of you. I really wish that you guys stay this way forever." The old lady turned towards Vrinda and spoke,

"This man of yours is definitely a keeper. Never lose him honey. This type of male species is very rare to find these days." Vrinda chuckled at the word "species" and looked up to meet her eyes and then nodded and said,

"Don't worry. I will. Always!"

"She doesn't have a choice either, ma'am. I'll not leave her anytime soon. She is stuck with me now and will have to deal with me." Arjun said to the old lady with amusement in his eyes and then looked back at Vrinda and winked.

"Oh, I am sure. Have a happy life you both!" She said and then walked away with her husband who then whispered to her, "Don't they remind us of our young days?"

They weren't supposed to hear that but they did to which Arjun then added, "I am sure we'll be like them when we grow up."

"You mean old, slowly plodding our way?" Vrinda questioned though her eyes were dancing in amusement.

"No, still madly in love!" Arjun replied and Vrinda shook her head at him in response but smiled letting him know that she did not disagree with that.

They drank their coffee in silence and then went back to their separate offices to resume their work.

Arjun and Vrinda were extremely excited. Two young souls were going to be 'one' forever. From 'he' and 'she' they would turn into 'us,' officially.

The days went by slowly but soon it was the day when they were to be engaged. They both were excited and nervous at the same time. They paced in their rooms until it was time. The right time.

Like the Bollywood movies, their venue was decorated with all the exquisite flowers and the place had been lighted up completely. There was a red carpet of rose petals that was spread from the door that led the couple to their seats. There was a huge chandelier above the couple's seat that emitted bright white light. The hall could fit in at least a couple hundred people. The buffet was laid outside in the lawn under the moon. At the entrance, there was a huge board that read:

'Welcome to the engagement ceremony of Vrinda and Arjun'

Vrinda was wearing a beige and green suit that had light embroidery with just an eyeliner and gloss. She was way too simple. To explain it a bit better, the word 'simple' looked made up in front of her.

Arjun wore a beige suit with a green tie to compliment his fiancé's dress. He set his hair with gel and was set to make Vrinda his.

Vrinda waited eagerly in the room that was booked for her at the venue to wait for the time when she would walk down the carpet and sit rightfully next to her to-be fiancé. She was very happy that things were going very smoothly and everything was perfect. Nothing and no one, whatsoever, could ruin her night tonight.
