Chapter XX

NATHAN
     October 29, 1HD
     Second District, American Region

    When we got outside of Fourth District, we found the protesters celebrating for their success.

    "We are now saved from the coming threat" shouted a man

     "Ice Age can't kill us, but we can kill Ice Age" said a woman

     The news is just so quick that I guess it reached the people all over Delta in a short period of time.

     We just came here at the rooftop of Second District.

      We looked around to seek for Justin.

      "Humans! Over there!" said Eldon

      "Let's go!" said Andrei

      We ran to Justin. He is currently operating his invention.

       When he's done, he proceed starting it.

        "He's about to do it! Stop him!" I said

        "Nobody can stop me! Even the world leaders!" said Justin

       Wait a minute, did it happen before?

       "Will you just stop! You're about to kill this planet!" said Eldon

      "Yeah! Let's just face what is really destined for us, and that is facing the coming Ice Age!" said Andrei

      "Are you kidding! Will you just let yourselves freeze to death because of the coming Ice Age!?" the guy asked

     I looked at Eldon and Andrei. Beside Eldon is Brix, and beside Andrei is Marco who wears a lab coat.

     That's it! I had a dream about it before!

      "So are you trying to say that you prefer to die burning rather than freeze to death!?" asked Eldon

      "Stop this nonsense! I will do it right now!" said Justin

      "NO!" we shouted.

      "Just kidding! I am just making you intensely nervous. That will become too easy if I enlarge the sun quickly" said Justin

      "Please stop it" said Andrei

      "Why?" asked Justin

      "Because there are so many reasons for you to stop it" said Andrei

      "Will you tell these to me one by one?" said Justin

      "First, the red dwarf sun that you're going to enlarge has the possibility to reach its red giant phase, because you have no idea how many atoms you will add to the sun" said Andrei

      "Second, you don't have the right to force the sun to grow up. There's a right time for it to grow. There's a right time for everything" said Eldon

      "Third, you have no right to decide for what the nature should do. If this planet is destined to freeze, then you have to accept its destiny" said Brix

      "Fourth, if it is the time for the human race to be killed, then we should take this wholeheartedly" I said

       "Lastly, if you enlarge the red dwarf sun and possibly became a red giant sun, you will burn everything in this planet, and everything is over" said Marco

       "You don't trust me. I don't care. I know what I'm doing. I'm gonna do this right now, I swear!" said Justin

       "Stop!" I shouted but it's too late. He pressed the red button.

       He stare on us. He looked so shocked.

       "What's wrong?" asked Andrei happily

       He pressed the button multiple times.

       "Why isn't it working? What did you do?" asked Justin

       Andrei laughed. "You didn't even notice Brix" said he

      "What?" said Justin

      We looked at Brix. He is quite far from us holding a cord.

      "Seriously? The weakest spot of invention is visible to everyone?" said Eldon

     "Let me help you. Please get out of there" said Eldon

     Eldon went to Justin's invention. "Is this the button you use to work your invention?" asked Eldon while pointing a red button

    "Yeah" said Justin

    "Brix, please plug it in" said Eldon

   "Sure!" Brix plugged it in

    "What!? Wait, what are you doing?" I said

    "Friendship is just a joke after all" said Justin happily

    "The cord is plugged in!" said Brix

    "Where is it? Aha! Gotcha!" Eldon presses a green button

    "What!? Why did you...!?" Justin ran away from his enlarger

     "Nathan, Marco run!" said Andrei

     We all ran away from the invention.

     "You clever! I can't believe you just tricked me" said Justin

      "Self destruct button, huh?" said Eldon happily

      I got it! They tricked Justin to destroy his invention

      "Why did you put a self-destruct button to your invention?" said Andrei

      "In case of emergency. Wait, how did you know about the self-destruct button?" said Justin

      "Marco told us everything you revealed to him" said Andrei

      "I don't care. I can make another one" said Justin

      "Then we will stop you one more time" said Eldon

      "Grr!!!" Justin has nothing to say, so he walked out.

      "Mission accomplished!" said Marco

      "Finally, our greatest fear is destroyed" said Andrei

      "How's the coming Ice Age?" asked Brix

      "Let's accept that event. Come on, let's go home" said Andrei
