Surviving Tomorrow

Chapter I

NATHAN
     October 18, 1HD

     It is 6:30 in the morning and cold air is touching our skins. It is so refreshing. Different from the life I've ever lived.

    As I lived on Earth, and as I woke up in the morning, noises from vehicles were irritating my ears.

    I am not sure if this is really happening but I like it. Not the vehicle horns but finally my own alarm clock wakes me up.

    8:00 AM would be the time of my work. As of now, I'm drinking my coffee. Maybe it is autumn when we first came in this planet. I haven't experienced autumn season, so I'm not familiar with it. The weather is starting to cool, and now it's becoming colder and colder.

    After discovering the month, the day and the exact time of this planet through the shape of the moon we are seeing at night and the sun we are seeing every day, PAGASA together with NASA started to make studies regarding with Delta's weather.

    They found out that Delta is on it's Ice Age stage just like what happened on Earth. I don't know if every planets really needs to step every stage like this, and if ever, that's crazy. Again, human intelligence went back to zero when it comes to this planet.

    Good thing, every rooms in every space arks has one heater. Seems like we are going to spend the rest of our lives throwing annoying snows away from each of everyone.

    Annoying things won't leave us, but it's okay. I'll just wait the moment when they started to feel annoyed because of me not minding them.

ANDREI

      This is gonna be one of the best days of my life. I feel comfortable with this planet. Though we found a hard time getting together, Nathan, Eldon and I were having a meeting, not business or anything connected with work, but friends meeting.

    Later, at 9 PM, we will be having our Get Together. It is after our work. Remember, I am the presidential spokesperson, Eldon is the secretary of PAGASA and Nathan becomes DOST secretary. These are not an easy task for us. We play a major role on Philippine Region economy. Because of that, I consider ourselves one of the busiest person in the world.

     By the way, according to the Treaty of Japanese Space Ark 1 also known as Treaty of JpnSA1 that was held on August 29, 1HD, planet Delta would, not really become, but be treated as a country-world. Because of this, the 202 surviving countries would be renamed and be treated as its region. For example, the Federal Republic of the Philippines would be named as the Federal Republic of the Region of the Philippines or simply as the Philippine Region; the United States of America would be named as the United States of the Region of America or simply as the American Region; the People's Republic of China would be named as the People's Republic of the Region of China or simply as the Chinese Region.

      It is so cold here. Unlike my country on Earth, the cool air here is made naturally and not by the destructive climate change.

     I hope we can live peacefully here.

ELDON

     Good morning! Today, I'm here at my room. I just woke up, and all I can hear is silence. It is so peaceful here. No thieves, killers, addicts, etc. I can walk around the ark without the feeling of being afraid of someone with evil plans. It feels like I'm living in heaven.

     We have data and internet connections here. Good thing, scientists, information technologists and some people helped each other to find a way for us to have data and internet connections.

      I can't believe I'm living in this planet. Unfortunately, there is a possibility that we experience winter in the rest of our lives.  Ice Age is yet to come.

     It's been three years since we've made our first step in this planet.  I still remember the cold weather I've never been experienced. It is so fun here at my room. Later, after my work,  we will be having get together. After a few months, I'm going to meet them again. I know it's so awkward to say but I miss them.

    I wish it would be fun.
