Chapter 4

Jasmine pov

"Everyone please make your way to the stage, thank you" I hear Lin say over the PA system. I make sure I have all of my stuff with me as I make my way downstairs from my dressing room. Coming out on stage, I see that I'm the last one to arrive. When I finally stop moving and stand next to Pippa, Lin starts talking.

"Great job today everyone. We made a lot of progress and I am very happy with how the show is looking. As a reward, you guys all have the night off!" Everyone in the cast erupts into thunderous applause. We've been going so hard, it'll be nice to take a break😉.

"Yay, I am so excited to finally have a nice evening at home with my kids and husband," Renee says, excited. "Yeah, Steven and I are having date night tonight" Pippa says. "What are you doing tonight, Jasmine?" both girls ask as they turn towards me. "I'm just gonna head home, shower, and relax. I'm so tired, I could use an early night in bed." "Sounds good, have fun!" The two women say before exiting the theater through the stage door.

After picking my stuff up, saying goodbye to Lin, and making my way outside, I decide to walk home. My apartment isn't too far from the theater, I'll be fine. Although, as I'm walking home, I feel like someone is following me. I reluctantly turn around to reveal an
out-of-breath Anthony.

"What the hell are you doing?! You scared the living daylights out of me!" I yell at Anthony. It takes him a minute to catch his breath, but he eventually says, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Um, this is kind of embarrassing, but I texted Renee to ask her what you were doing tonight and she told me that you didn't have any specific plans. And I'm wondering if you maybe want to have plans... with me?" I look at him and his eyes got really wide, probably because he thinks i'm mad at him. But, after a minute, I break into a huge smile and say "I would love to go on a date with you." Anthony looks so relieved but quickly says "Wait, I asked you if you wanted to make plans, not go on a date." I just looked at him and said "I know. But I figured that you wanted to ask me out, so I just did the hard part for you." "Well thank you. And yes, you're right, I do want to go on a date with you" Anthony looks at me with the face every kid makes on Christmas morning, like he just got the best gift in the world. "I'll text you my address and you can pick me up at 7:00. Sound ok?" "Perfect" he says back. Anthony starts to walk away, but before he can I kiss him on the cheek and whisper "See you tonight."
