Anthony pov

Today is December 8, 2016. Today is the day that Jasmine is leaving Hamilton. Today is also the day that I am proposing to Jasmine (this didn't happen in real life, just for the story!).

I sat next to Renee for tonight's performance and we cheered the loudest when Jasmine finished Say No To This. Finally, curtain call came and I made my way backstage. When Jasmine took her final now center stage she began to cry hysterically. So, to make her feel better I surprised her on stage with some flowers. Everyone cheered when I walked out and Jasmine gave me a huge hug. I motioned with my hands for everyone to quiet down and once they did, I began:

"Jasmine, you're amazing. I love you so much and I am so proud of what you've accomplished. I'm also really happy that on the first day of rehearsals at the Public Theater, you smacked right into me, because that was the moment that I met the love of my life. That was the moment that I met the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world. And that was the moment that I met the woman that I knew I was gonna spend the rest of my life with. So, Jasmine Cephas Jones, will you make me the happiest and luckiest guy alive by doing me the honor of marrying me?"

I'm down on one knee and I look into Jasmine's eyes as if it's just me and her and she says, through tears,

"Yes. A thousand times yes."
