Chapter 18

Jasmine pov

November 20th. I am, of course, a snotty mess again. Today is the day that Anthony is leaving Hamilton. After today, it's only gonna be me and Oak left. This is horrible, I didn't want it to be like this. I'm so happy for everyone, leaving the show to follow their other dreams, but what about me? What do I have after Hamilton? Anthony? I love him and he loves me, but he has his whole plan. He knows what he's doing. Right now, I'm a girl in a world in which my only job is playing Peggy and Maria in Hamilton. What comes next for Jasmine Cephas Jones?

Anthony pov

The stage lights are beaming down on my face for what feels like the millionth time but what will actually be my last time for a while. The audience is cheering and clapping so loud and before I know it, I'm being pushed to the front of the stage by pretty much the whole cast. I stand center stage, right above the conductor's pit, and rip off my wig that is making me extremely itchy. I take a ginormous bow and can't stop smiling because it's so bittersweet. I'm happy to be moving on and fulfilling my other dreams, but at the same time, i'm definitely going to miss it here. Especially Jasmine. I know she'll be fine because she is an amazing performer, but I can't help but feel like i'm neglecting her. At least i'm filming the TV show in New York so I can still see her everyday. I just hope that's enough for her.

Jasmine pov

After the show, the whole cast goes out for dinner. We are all singing "Happy Trails" to Anthony and eventually, we make our way over to the dance floor. After we've all had one too many drinks, everyone is getting crazy and dancing all over each other.

"I think we should go!" I yell to Anthony. "What?!" he yells back. Ugh it's too loud in here! "I said: I THINK WE SHOULD GO!" "Okay, if you want!"

After everyone says goodbye to one another, Anthony and I start to head home. We hop in a cab because we decide that it's not safe to walk.

When we finally get back to my apartment, I say to Anthony "You're over here a lot. Can you move in?" He looks taken by surprise but he answers back "You want me to move in? With you? And live here?" I nod my head frantically and his face breaks into a huge smile. Anthony picks me up and spins me around and after he sets me down, he places a big kiss on my lips.

"I love you" he whispers. "I love you more" I whisper back. "Yeah, well, I love you most" Anthony answers matter-of-factively. "Yeah, you're right" I answer with a smile.

After getting ready for bed, Anthony and I were laying in our bed when I say to him: "I love you so much, Anthony. And yeah, I might be sad that you left Hamilton, but I am really happy for you. And I know you're gonna love filming this TV show. And what makes it even better is that now we're gonna see each other every day because now we're gonna live together." After a few moments of silence Anthony finally says "I love you so much, what did I ever do to deserve you?" I smile and say "I love you too, goodnight, babe." I know he can hear the smile in my voice so he just wraps his arms around me and says "Love you, Jazzy."

Anthony pov

Moving in together, woohoo!! One step closer to making Jazzy mine forever...
