"You guys ready?! I'm pumped," says Lucas excitedly.
We all show up with our huge duffel bags full of clothes at 8:00 the Saturday after school gets out. We pile on the bus, put our stuff away, and Asher slides into the driver seat and pulls away.
"Any music requests?" He calls back to us. We've all settled in on the couches, girls on one side, guys on the other, playing poker. We made a pact to not put in headphones the whole trip so that we spend time with each other (which took some effort to convince the guys, but eventually they agreed- begrudgingly).
"Country," I shout.
"Eww no, pop," Skylar responds.
"Please, G, do NOT play country. Put on one of my musical soundtracks pretty please," Zoe says sweetly.
"Rap," calls Lucas.
"I could go for some country," Grayson says, a blush spreading across his cheeks.
"Well I guess that means I've gotta pick. What a shame," Gatsby says sarcastically, and starts blasting old rock and roll music. We all collectively let out a groan.

Four hours later, we're all gazing out the window as we look around in awe at Time Square.
Well, some of us are at least. Gatsby is yelling at people in other cars and honking at them while I'm trying to navigate and tell Gatsby where to turn and change lanes (and failing at that), and Lucas is being super helpful by laughing his ass off at us. I've also seen several people give our pink school bus weird looks.
"Here! That's it! That's the Marriott!" Asher cuts across four lanes of traffic and narrowly misses an accident as he pulls in front of the hotel door.
"Alright Zoe, you're up," I tell her. She ran in a motel room we rented for an hour and put on the fanciest dress she had and loads of fake jewelry, and Skylar and I did her hair and makeup.
Zoe hops out of the bus and hurries into the hotel.
"What now?" asks Grayson.
"Now we wait," I respond as Asher pulls away and parks the bus in the hotel parking lot.

(Zoe's POV)
I hurry in out of the cold, but change my walk as soon as I'm through the doors. Suddenly I stroll like a runway model and hold my chin up a little higher, trying to look a regal and important. Thank god for all those acting classes.
I don't think I've been in a place this fancy in my entire life. I strut across the reflective marble floors to the hotel front desk.
"Excuse me, ma'am,
