Dear Diary,
So today is my first day at school, and for some reason I'm super nervous. Its crazy because i'm usually really chill, and I dont let things get to me, so I dont knkw why im sweating. It's pretty chilly today, and I'm not looking forward to meeting anyone. Theyre probably all jerks.
I really loved living in Chicago, there was lots of hustle and bustle, and I love waking up to the sound of the cars driving on the black street making woosh sounds as they pass by. To me that was home. It was peaceful to me, and the people there were nice too.
I guess I'm not going to miss the people that hurt me. Oh god that'd be a long list.
I'm going to miss walking down to Navy Pier during Christmas time, listening to Mariah Carey, and skipping to the beat. The ice skating rinks, the lightness in the atmosphere, aswell as the feeling of family and love in the air.
The giggling of children and street preformers were iconic and im really going yo miss my Chicago.
If i havent said it enough.
Like always,
Ben Williams
=-_=-_=-_=-_=-_=-_=-_So there I was, sitting with Ryder, a boy i had just met... yet it felt like weve known eachother for a long time. He was in my arms, and we were lying on the crisp gtound looking up at tue twinkling stars on the horizon. It was beautiful.
Ryder was really the only person that knew I was gay. Well, atleast in German Valley.
We watched as the sky was painted in shades of Blue, black, and rich purples. Tge littke sprinkles of shimmering whites was breathtaking. That's something i wouldn't miss.
Chicago always had lights strobing into tye sky blocking the beautiful painting above us. I never knew something could be so gorgeous. That and Ryder.
I couldn't help it he was really cute. And although i barely knew him, i think i liked him.
"Hey, ryder?" I scooted up from the ground.
He plopped next to me, on the ground.
"yeah?"
"wanna get something to eat?"
"I have no money" he said, pulling out his pants' pockets. bits of lint and a paperclip fell out.
"that's ok," I said "I got you."
He smiled and stood up.
"well" he started walking "what are you waiting for? Let's go!!""
I laughed and got up from my little perch on the ground. and our walk began. we walked until the towers of corn were no more than dirt on the ground and bats flying over our heads, we walked until we came upon a lake. The lake was beautiful underneath the night sky.
The lingering light was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. The once salmon and purple sky transformed into a vast expanse of jet-black that engulfed the town. A canopy of luminous stars materialized amongst the ocean of blackness. Some were dull, merely flickering into existence every now and then, but there was an adequate amount of shimmering stars to illuminate the dark, moonless night. The lake glistened, mirroring the dazzling assemblage of glittering stars and the luminescence from the restaurants and designer boutiques that lined the marina. The faint wind brushed against the water's surface, the ripples ruffled the stillness of the surface, and shattered the reflection of the harbor.
Soon we came to a white and crimson striped ice cream shop. We walked in and a jolly and stout man was at the counter on the phone. He put the phone down momentarily and looked at us.
"Hey Ryder!" he called from the counter, "stores almost closed! get what you want, and your friend too! Its on the house."
Ryder nudged me, as he looked at all the colors. his face was golden and a look of wonder was plastered on his face. He looked so cute.
"I'll get.." Ryder started, "A double scoop of Rocky Road, and Ben will get.."
He looked at me again.
"the same." I said just to match his taste.
He smiled at me, and grabbed the cones from the mans hands. We began to walk out but before he could step out he looked at the uniformes man in the store.
"Thanks again Henry!" He called to him.
Henry tipped his cap and waved at us.
"Anytime boys!"
We stepped out and sat on the ground underneath a street lamp. Ryder licked his Icecream and looked around at the night sky and the streets.
I dont know, something was off, I never really believed in love at first sight, but sitting there, looking at him. Noticing how stunning he was, made me so happy.
I loved the way his eyes crease when he smiles, his slightly red lips from the red sharpie he had previously wiped off. His cheek bones, his chocolate eyes. I adored him, in these couple hours we met. And i hate how disney princesses fall in love so easily.
Ill be screaming at the TV,
"YOU BARELY KNOW HIM"
But i guess now I know how it feels. The thought of Ryder just warmed up my heart.
I took a bite of my icecream.
I peared at him. He was looking at his hand, tracing the cones edge through the lines and small indents of his hands.
"Love line, life line, moon line..." he whispered slightly.
"Whatre you doing?" I asked him, scooting ever so slightly towards him.
"I..." he started, "Am reading my palm"
"You can do that?" I asked holding up my hand.
He took my hand in his and held it gently.
"Yeah, see this is your family line... right here"
He dragged his fingertip alongside my hand.
"You'll have 1 child"
I wondered.
"And this is your health line"
He carresed the back of my hand with his thumb.
"Youre doing okay" he continued. He traced circles on my palm looking serious.
"This is your love line" he whispered.
"What do you see?"
He looked up at me, and i swaer his eyes lit up like a thousand fireflies.
"Us."
