"Good slice!"
Bravestar saw Leopardheart watching Crouchfoot and Runningfall practicing battle moves with each other. The black and white tom was panting from a blow. Kinkstem was yawning. "I might take a nap," she padded underneath a shady tree. "Before it's my turn to practice.." She mewed.
Leopardheart padded up to Kinkstem. "Rule one. Enemies come from every angle." She meowed. Crouchfoot licked a paw and watched then stretched. As she said this, a high pitched voice yowled:"TimberClan attack!" And two kits bounded about and pounced onto Kinkstem's tabby belly.
"Raccoonkit, Flowerkit, there you two are!" Came a worried meow from their mother, Marrigoldrunner.
Poolhawk was washing her tail as she purred in amusement. "They sure did catch you Kinkstem." She teased. Crouchfoot laughed "Kits." he purred. Heatherfur smiled at Crouchfoot. Cr0uchfoot smiled back and blushed a little. He had liked her a lot. He had only first joined, but Heatherfur had been the first to show him around.
"Where are Pikestalk and Fallentooth?" Leopardheart asked some of her clanmates.
"They went off hunting for the fresh-kill pile. I haven't seen them since." Poolhawk mewed.
"If they'd be gone this long they should have said.." Bluejay fretted.
Suddenly, the two toms came back in with a stranger.
Bluejay's eyes gleamed, but she curled her tail around her kits as she saw the tom.
"Who might you be?" Bravestar asked the tom curiously.
"My name is Blackthorn. I am rival to no one. I had heard tales of cats residing here." He meowed.
Crouchfoot glared at the new comer "But how can we trust you?" He asked him.
"I'm a fast thinker. I may not be physically strong, but I am a planner." He replied.
"So? You're an outsider." Crouchfoot growled as he glared at him.
"I can adjust." Blackthorn meowed. "You may be a spy.." He growled. Bravestar padded around Blackthorn, sniffing his fur. "If you think you can adjust to our way, fetch two pieces of fresh kill." He meowed. Leopardheart nodded her head. "Rules for new members. Catch at least two pieces of prey. But that won't mean you've earned our respect.. We will watch from the cover." He meowed.
Blackthorn dipped his head. Crouchfoot stilled remained less trusting. "This cat has an odd scent about him.." He meowed to Flintnose, who dipped his head in agreement.

Bravestar hung back in the shadows observing Blackthorn. The tom saw a mouse. He noticed that his crouch was sloppy, and his tail wasn't in the position for fine hunting. The tom stalked quietly but sneezed, obviously scaring a mouse away. The TimberClan leader saw Leopardheart rolling her eyes.
Well, a bit pitiful isn't he? He felt bad for thinking that so suddenly. His mother had always said, never judge a cat by their pounce, but by their heart. Blackthorn kept low, scanning for anymore prey he could catch. But when he saw none, he frowned, bowing his head low. A rustle made the young cat look up. A tan and silver tom padded under the glow of the moon. "Blackthorn. Catching squirrels again?" He teased.
Who is this?
"Stop it Russel. I'm on an important mission. A hunting mission." The black tom raised his head high. The strange cat rolled his eyes. "I never thought you'd actually venture into the forest. Me and the others thought you were kidding." He rumbled.
"I kid you not dear friend of mine. You could join me.." Blackthorn meowed sheepishly.
Russel scoffed. "In your wildest dreams!" He meowed.
Blackthorn tapped his mouth with his tail. "Shush! Do you want all of the mice to hear?" He rumbled.
"I'm going." Russel padded away. Bravestar held a growl. Could this Russel be a threat?
