Chapter 33

Bravestar curled his lip seeing that it was an apprentice. "Yarrowpaw get off!" Ordered a voice. The body slid off of him and padded over to his mentor, a mottled gray tom. Then, a cream she-cat, Dawnreed of ViperClan drew near him. "I apologize for that one." She meowed.
Bravestar licked his chest.
"What's a TimberClan cat doing here?" Snarled a black and white she-cat.
"Calm down Dogshade." Dawnreed meowed. "He was just leaving." Meowed a voice. Leopardheart padded up with a patrol consisting of Lionpaw, Vinewhisper, Kinkstem, Dovepaw, Mallowtail, Crouchfoot, and Shystep.
"Invaders!" Yarrowpaw hissed.
"Do we look like we want to attack?" Dovepaw asked the ViperClan apprentice.
Bravestar flicked his tail.
Dawnreed hissed at Yarrowpaw. "You all may leave without a fight." She told them.
Bravestar nodded his head and turned to leave with his warriors. Leopardheart kept close to him. "We were so worried about you! We had no clue where you were!"
"Sorry I was walking and I was at the Starred Stone then ran here." He told her, knowing that what he said wouldn't sink in to the rest of his warriors.
"We saw you weren't in camp earlier today dad." Dovepaw meowed to her father looking up at him.
"Vinewhisper and mom said my crouch was great!" Lionpaw boasted purring.
Leoprdheart purred. "It certainly was." She meowed.
"You should tell us that you're going to go wandering somewhere before you leave camp you know." Crouchfoot meowed to his leader.
"Of course." Bravestar meowed as they reached the entrance.
As they entered the camp, Barkpelt and Hollowpaw were sorting herbs in bundles. While Brownpaw and his mentor were practicing battle moves. All was peaceful.

As he and his warriors reached the camp after a successful hunting patrol, the sounds of battle ran in his ears. "What?!" He yowled.
"What is going on in there?!" Poolhawk yowled.
"Is that ViperClan?!" Crouchfoot snarled. Bravestar sped up not stopping.
"WolfClan too!" Mallowtail hissed.
They burst into the camp. Battle was everywhere. Fur flew all over as blood splattered the dust and leaves of trees. Leopardheart clawed a gray WolfClan warrior away and ran to him. "We are under attack!" She wailed.
Hollowpaw huddled in the Medicean den fearfully as Barkpelt, Shystep, and Flintnose were fighting three warriors. Lionpaw, Stonewhisker, and Vinewhisper were chasing a white ViperClan up a tree. "Stay up there!" Lionpaw spat.
Two young WolfClan warriors made their way for them, pelts bristling, muzzles covered in blood, their eyes blazing with fury.
Hollowpaw screeched in fear. "Father look out!!!" She called from the den.
Bravestar's paw flew as fast as a bird. Leopardheart shrieked helping him fight one of them.
Cats yowled in fury and battle. Howlingdawn, a creamish tan tom barrled into Bravestar clawing at his exposed belly. Bravestar yowled. But the TimberClan leader's mate and deputy sank her teeth into his hind leg. He yowled out recoiling. Bravestar laid on the ground bleeding heavily. Thunderclaw yowled and clawed at Leopardheart. Poolhawk bit at the WolfClan warrior's ear.
"Bravestar!" A voice called as the leader tried his hardest to keep his eyes open, but let himself sink.
