day three
chanyeol wasn't really planning on going out, but there he was, christmasshopping. they — minseok and jongin — thought that it would be better to buy more gifts, mainly because they both forgot to buy their christmas gifts in the first place.
he was walking with his daughter's hand intertwined with his, and his son wanted to be a 'big boy' so he wasn't holding his. chanyeol could see where lukas was coming from, the boy was now ten years old.
maya and lukas wanted to go find their mother a christmas gift, and chanyeol couldn't refuse, since he wanted to find her a gift as well. "so, what do you think mama would like?" he asked, looking down at the both of then. "well, mama wanted a specific watch for christmas." lukas started, "but she doesn't have the money to get it."
chanyeol frowned slightly. "ithinkiknowwhichwatchthey'retalkingabout." he thought to himself. then he gave the both of them a smile, "c'mon, let's go find that watch." chanyeol said as they all walked away towards the jewlery store.
when they walked into the store, maya and lucas went their separate ways. "stay where i can see you!" he exclaimed in korean. "okay daddy." maya said as she looked around, her eyes scanning through the jewlery.
"what should i get her?" he mumbled to himself as he looked around. chanyeol walked around, only to stop and grin when he saw something.
"this will be perfect."

"aw, that's so pretty." a voice shook him from his thoughts. chanyeol looked up to see one of the employees staring at him. "it really is." chanyeol said quietly. "are you planning to get that for your wife?" she asked with a smile.
chanyeol froze. "um," he started before getting cut off by maya and lukas running over to him. "daddy, we found the watch!" maya exclaimed. lukas pointed to a nearby counter, "it's over there dad." the ten year old said with a smile. chanyeol smiled at his children, "okay, i'll be there in a minute. just let me do something really quick." he said with a slight nod.
chanyeol watched as his children walked away and turned back around.
"i'll buy this ring, and the watch that my children found."
a little ways away, jongin and minseok watched chanyeol with a grin.
