day one
baekhyun was talking on the phone with jongin as he was on his way to talk with tawni. "are you sure baek?" jongin started warily, "tawni is a tough nut to crack." he finished. baekhyun chuckled and shook his head, forgetting for a moment that jongin couldn't see him.
"relax jongin, talking to tawni will be a piece of cake." baekhyun said lightheartedly, "no one can say no to this gorgeous face, especially tawni."

"no baekhyun."
baekhyun's jaw dropped. "why not?" he whined while crossing his arms as he looked at the younger woman.
tawni let out a sigh as she looked back at her friend from college. "you know that chanyeol doesn't want to see me." she mumbled quietly. baekhyun let out an annoyed sigh, "you both have been at this for two years, when are you gonna give this up and get back together? like old times." he asked hopefully.
tawni frowned slightly. "we were younger then — we both have gotten older." she retorted. "aish.." baekhyun mumbled, "he still loves you, yanno." he said quietly. this made the younger girl scoff slightly, "if he loved me, then he wouldn't have left."
baekhyun groaned and waved his arms around in emphasis to his words. "you know how chanyeol is! he's big headed and his big ego makes him act stupid!" he reasoned, knowing that tawni knew this as well.
tawni raised an eyebrow at her older friend, knowing that he was up to something, but she nodded st his words.
"yeah, well nothing is going to happen between the both of us." she mumbled quietly. baekhyun frowned, at his failed attempt to get his best friends back together after two years. just the other day while he was over chanyeol's, his niece and nephew asked him to get her parents back together.
"well, i guess i'll be on my way then — if lukas wants to play ball again, let me know!" he exclaimed before walking out of the house. once he closed the door behind himself, baekhyun let out a groan.
"day one: failed." he mumbled as he got into his car and drove away.
tawni let out a sigh and let her head fall onto the table. "what's wrong mama?" a high pitched voice asked, making her look up to see her son lukas. "nothing's wrong baby, I'm just tired— that's all." tawni said with a small smile.
lukas walked over to tawni and grabbed her hand. "then go to sleep mama." he said with a blank expression. the twenty one year old let out a light laugh and nodded. "okay, i'll go to sleep." she agreed with him as she gave him a kiss on the head and walked away.
lukas watched as his mother walked away from him with a frown. "so much for this plan..." the ten year old mumbled sadly.
