"Louis, would you please lock up once you're finished? I have somewhere important to be, and I don't have time to wait on you," said the tall, gray-haired man.
"Yes, sir. I'm sorry to have kept you so long. I can just continue my work at home if it's a bother for me to be here right now." the short brunette replied respectfully.
"Just lock up when you're done, kid. And make sure Harry has left."
Louis stood there for a moment to try and picture Harry in his head. He couldn't really picture anyone, and he hadn't really heard that name before. Was there even anyone that worked at Macy's named Harry? Or was he referring to somebody else?
"Um, sir.." Louis said timidly before his boss could walk away.
"Hm?"
"Who is this... Harry?" Louis asked.
"Oh, right. He's new here, so you don't know him. Just make sure that nobody is here when you lock up. Got it?"
"Got it. See you tomorrow, Mr. Geller." Louis said and waved to his boss as he watched him walk away.
Louis drew in a deep breath and grabbed his phone from his desk before putting it in his pocket and walking out of his office to begin looking around to see if anyone was around. As far as he could tell, no one was there, and he had to get back to his paperwork. It's very unlikely that anyone was lingering on upstairs, so he just shrugged his shoulders a little and went back into his office, and returned to his paperwork.
After a while, Louis heard a big "thud" noise come from the middle area of the store, then suddenly heard someone yell; "Shit!" Louis quickly stood up and ran out of his office to go see where the commotion was coming from.
"Um... you are not supposed to be here after hours." Louis said timidly, hoping it wasn't an intruder. He fiddled with his phone for a second before turning on the flashlight setting and shining it in front of him. To his surprise, he saw a tall boy awkwardly holding a mannequin, as if it had been knocked over.
"Yeah, I realise that. I'm not stupid or anything," said the boy as he stood the mannequin back on its stand and took a few steps closer. He almost looked angelic in the slightly dim lighting.
"It's after midnight." Louis stated and placed his hand on his hip.
"I see that, diva." The tall boy said and leaned down slightly to match Louis' height.
"Why are you here after midnight?" Louis asked, making the taller boy chuckle.
"I work here."
"No, you don't. I've never seen you in my life." Louis said.
"I started working here today, smartass. Nice try, though."
"But-"
"And you want to know the reason I'm here after hours?"
Louis nodded and the taller boy grabbed Louis' hand before leading him to the glass doors.
"See that?"
"It's snow." Louis said and the boy nodded.
"And how many inches do you think that is?"
Louis took that the wrong way and slowly lowered his head to look at the boy's pants.
"No, not that, shortstack. The snow."
"Oh. Um. I don't know." Louis said awkwardly.
"It's definetly a lot. Hell, it's not even inches. It's feet. Maybe like three or four feet."
