I am now sitting on my leathered swivel chair, and I'm trying to concentrate on the contracts that I have to sign. But right now I can't focus on anything 'cause a lot of things are happening right now. For example, the 97th anniversary party, the reunion with the Lady Eagles, also a reunion with the gang and the arrival of one of our biggest investors.
Nakakastress lang dahil marami nang priorities sa buhay. Luckily, I have an inspiration, si Jirah. Her, my family and friends, they're my inspiration for everything I've been doing in my entire life.
For a minute or two of relaxing and laying my back against the comfortable leathery swivel chair that my parents gave me, I heard someone knocked on my office door.
Yes, come in! I said to whoever he/she is.
Uhm, anak? I saw my dad walked toward the chair in front of my office table.
Oh, Dad? Ano pong meron? I asked and stood up to kiss him on the cheek.
Well, we have a meeting in 10 minutes, and I thought what if sabay na tayo.. Ang sweet ng Dad ko, diba?
Sus! Yun nga lang ba talaga? I asked him seriously. Dad come on, spill it...
He sighs indicating that I won this time around.
Pakasalan mo na si Jirah.. He said to me straightforwardly.
I creased my forehead and took a deep breath before laying my back against my swivel chair.
Look, Marge.. We aren't getting any younger. Your mom and I aren't, and so do you... We don't know what would happen in the next few months ~ all I'm saying is that you kids should prepare for all of your future. He added.
Hindi naman sa ayaw ko pang pakasalan si Jirah.. And yes, may point si Dad doon. We aren't getting any younger, and we all don't know kung kailan pa tayo mabubuhay sa mundong ibabaw.
