Reaper's warehouse/home
July 1st
12:00 EDT
Days, then weeks passed since he last got any action. The voice in his head and the itch to do something..., something other than sit in front of his computer with an injured leg, got worse as the hours in a day ticked by. He even considered the possibility of having ADHD. He honestly tried his best to ignore the feeling, keeping himself occupied.
Reaper's feet dangled from the top of his little home.
"Ooooh~ This is so exciting! Those bunch of good-for-nothing guys have finally done something big!" Reaper swung his legs about excitedly with his laptop in his hands.
He's just read the latest updates on project Kr.
The experiment was a success this far and the clone was growing fast. At this rate they really were going to succeed with their plan to defeat and basically replace Superman. Of course they still needed time for the young clone to mature to the point of being a perfect, controllable weapon. Brrr... The thought sent chills down his spine.
Well, of course only if they don't get discovered and put in prison before achieving all this...
A wide-manic grin appeared on his face, only to disappear a moment later as he numbly looked at the sky, dread pooling in his stomach. How would an evil Superman clone affect the future of Earth?
Death. Lots of it most certainly.
Great, now his good mood was crushed. He needed a walk to clear his head.
He pulled out something black and rubbery from his laptop and wrapped it around his left wrist, connecting its ends with a small popping sound.
After leaving the roof he walked down the metal stairs back to ground level and tiredly checked if the only proper door his home was locked and barricaded. He preferred keeping it shut and using the small window near the broken fire escape instead, but of course the Joker liked to barge in through them on the rare occasions when he was paying a visit. Thankfully he was the only one. But it gave him all the more reason to keep it shut, locked and barricaded. He was seriously thinking about welding it to the doorway.
Once out on the streets, his thoughts kept drifting back to Superman. Somehow these crime fighters were really getting on his nerves. They make his life so much harder... Always flying around, thinking they know best. He gritted his teeth.
"Tsk-! Those stupid hypocrites! Who needs them anyway?! They just complicate everything. A bunch of idiots. All of them!" he growled and kicked a half full trashcan. "Oh, look at me! I'm so good and almighty. Beware my fancy-pants, I'm the law here!" He slowly raised his voice as he began stomping down the street.
"Error."
"Is it a bird, is it a plane? No! It's a flying idiot in a jumpsuit!" His whole body radiated irritation and his pulse skyrocketed.
"I am vengeance, I am the night, I'm a freak in a bat costume!" he shouted on top of his lungs. Drawing a few surprised and startled glances from the people walking in the street. They were idiots too. Why were they looking at him like that? He's not the only lunatic in Gotham!
His breath was coming out in ragged puffs now.
"Error."
He didn't know if it was his hormones or the fatigue making him this angry, but he felt like he could explode any moment now. Honestly, he was feeling pretty ridiculous. Shouting nonsense and all...
These emotion bursts happened from time to time. He didn't really mind them though, sometimes he felt much... calmer... after one; the bad part however, was the headache that followed.
