"So where am I?"
"Maybe it's better if you don't know." Flash said thoughtfully. "Let's just say, you're in a highly protected, safe place."
Gosh, that idiot had the nerve to grin while saying that... oh he so did not have the energy for this right now. He'll have to think of an escape plan, and fast.
"So, you're the kid who took down Bats. Why are you doing this? Heh, I mean, a kid like you surely has better things to do than... you know... 'causing trouble'."
"Have you ever seen a teenager?" Reaper deadpanned.
"Oh, you know very well what I mean!" The Flash practically pouted.
"And the faith of the masses rests in the hands of heroes like this clown. Oh dear, oh dear..." he sighed.
"What did you say midget?"
"Nothing, nothing..."
"Well, guess wha-"
"Flash! That's enough." Batman suddenly appeared in the doorway.
Flash shook his head and sighed. "He's all yours Bats." With that he left the room.
Batman walked over to the energy field and leaned in as close as possible. "It's about time to start talking."
Reaper remained silent.
"What is your motive? Why all the aggression and blood?"
"I could ask you the same thing." He retorted.
To this, Batman narrowed his eyes behind his mask and bent down so he was about at the same height as Reaper.
"My motive," He began in a dangerous tone "is to clean the streets of rats, who pester the innocent and gut people for fun." voice getting lower and lower by every passing second, he continued, "My motive, is to catch these people. To break them and bring them to justice. The question here is, are you one of them? Or do you choose to walk an entirely different path?"
Reaper could feel, that this guy was as serious as one could get. He had to think of a way to get out of this situation because the white walls from his dream were still at the front of his mind, making concentration a challenge. On top of all this, he still didn't know where he was. He hated not knowing stuff.
It seemed like the Bat hated that too.
"What connection do you have to the regular inhabitants of Arkham and Belle Reve? After digging through several previous robbery files, I found a connection between them. It leads to you and then to Penguin, Two-Face and the Joker... etcetera. You covered your steps carefully, but the involvement of someone was obvious just from looking at the cases. Once I studied your previous dealings, it wasn't hard to find you."
So that's how he found out about his jewelry shop heist the other day. He did the detective work and figured out where he'll be.
"Smartass." Rubbing all this in his face.
"Tch." Reaper knew, even if Batman got notified by the alarm, he would have just figured it was some random thief and would have immediately attacked. But he didn't. He actually took his time to hide somewhere on the damned ceiling until Reaper noticed him. Even after that, he approached him and tried to make him talk. It seemed he was really keen on doing that.
