The leaguers were still in the middle of an argument when suddenly the massive metal sliding door they just went through slammed shut behind them.
"What is the meaning of this?" Wonder Woman turned to Batman, who was already at the door panel trying to find the reason behind the sudden malfunction.
Red lights flashed and a mechanic female voice listed off several warnings in the background but there was only one that left everyone shocked.
"Warning: Security breach at Holding Block-Beta. Emergency lockdown protocol initiated."
"Batman! What's taking so long?" Superman shouted over the noise.
"By the goddess!"
"Your impatience won't help me open the doors. I almost got it." The sound of typing filled the hall. "Accessing main security servers..."
After several minutes the doors slid open with a satisfying metallic sound. The heroes rushed to the cell they left the boy in and Flash, being the first to get there, peeked into the room through the now open door, only to find the handcuffs laying forgotten on the floor, the energy field completely nonexistent and the security camera fried.
Green Arrow stared at the scene before them. "This is nuts! Who the hell is that kid?"
Batman turned with the swish of his cape and ran to the hall containing the zeta-beams as Superman flew ahead, for nothing of course, because only Batman knew the security overwrites by head.

Several minutes earlier
The little fragments started to fall into place creating something that now at least resembled reality.
"What the-"
Reaper spun around alarmed, face first into a wall.
"Ah!..."
Well, at least his vision was clear now.
He looked around himself, not recognizing his surroundings, except the walls. The walls were covered in the same boring metal as his holding cell was. So he was still at that strange place owned by the League. And was that a lockdown alert in the background? But how did he get out of his cell? It was all... fuzzy. He looked around for anything that could be of help to escape this place. That was the when he saw it. A giant window. His head rolled to the side and stars appeared before his vision... the real kind.
"I'M IN FREAKING SPACE?!"
He touched the glass with trembling hands.
"No no nonono, please no." in any other situation he would have felt pretty giddy at the sight, but with the League breathing down his neck it was hard to admire the open universe and his home planet down bellow.
"Uh um, okay-... D-don't panic. Deep... deep, ohmygod-space... breaths, deep breaths."
There had to be a way to leave this place. His hand instinctively went to one of his pant pockets, only to draw it back with a frustrated huff. It was empty. Of course he had to take a walk with no gadgets and of course he had to get himself captured. Great going Reaper. Next, he checked for the knives he usually had wrapped around his abdomen. Gone. The heroes must have gotten it off him while he was in la la land. Ah..., that was one of his favourite chest straps...
He buried his face in his palms and groaned. He only had one last thing to check. He tentatively rolled up his left sleeve, finding a small black bracelet delicately hugging his wrist. He sighed the biggest relieved sigh in his life. The rubber memory stick bracelet must have been concealed by the elastic wrist of his hoodie. Even if they saw it, they probably didn't think much of it, or the small piece of metal inside it. It was understandable though. Honestly, it didn't look like much and usually even the end of people's shoelaces had a bit of metal in them. Not to mention the weapons on his torso must have drawn their attention away from it.
The stick contained the upgraded version of the program he got from Penguin. It was time to see the little thing in action. Now all he had to do was look for the right kind of panel to connect the device to and wait for a miracle to happen.
The sound of the blaring alarms around him were drowned out by the 'gears' turning rapidly in his head.
Just at the end of the corridor he was standing in, was something that looked like some really high tech computer-door mechanism stuff.
"Well, let's hope these beauties are still compatible with USB sticks." he mumbled on his way there.
After finding a USB slot things were going pretty smoothly. The virus made its way into the main servers. Now all he needed was someone to activate the security files. If his theory was correct, then the league also should have been caught in the lockdown, which meant, that in a few seconds they will try to free themselves.
Aaaand bingo. Upon the activation of the security servers the virus multiplied itself and fished out the information he needed; like a map and security codes. He downloaded everything he could to the flash drive and tried to memorize it too. He usually had a very good memory but in the state he was now, a goldfish would have run rings round him.
It seemed, that something called zeta-beam would be his way out.
Only a few bad turns later, after he carefully locked every door shut behind him, he finally came to a gigantic open space. In front of him was this huge circular stage thing with an overwhelmingly big 'window', and then some metallic tunnel things?... Okay he was officially whelmed now. When he checked on a nearby computer, he felt like doing flips. He was here! Those tunnels were zeta-beam transporters. This was his way out.
He chose a random code and a transport location, apparently there was one in Gotham, and turned the transporter on.
It came alive with an electric hum and moments later, yellow lights appeared.
When a light beam scanned him, he panicked, but after he heard what the mechanic female voice said, he couldn't keep in the laugh bubbling up his his stomach.
"Batman, 02"
And he was off in a flash.

When they finally arrived in the main hall, after the mechanic voice's announcement, all they saw was the light of the transporter slowly fading out.
"Hey Bats. I don't think that was you..."
"Thank you for pointing out the obvious."

AN: Aaaaand, the end.
Of this chapter.
Now we're getting closer to the point where I plan to kind of follow the original story line, with a few twists of course.
It will focus on the first season of Young Justice but there may be snippets of things from the second season, or even other universes than DC.
I like fourth wall breaking, but I'll try to keep it to a minimum... so a hopefully not annoying level.
Feel free to comment, I'd love to hear your opinions.
Bye! <(^w^)>
