Mating Like No Other

Chapter Nine:Rick

I glared at Ravens back as I watched her disappear in the crowded hallway. It took so much for me not punch the green locker I was leaning on. Lily was unaware of everything going on and was still chatting merrily. Just the thought of Raven flirting with that one guy pissed me off. A low growl escaped, I had to fight the urge to keep it at only a low level.

"If you'll excuse me." I say to Lily. Turning on my heel I sniff the air trying to pick up on Ravens scent. Her scent lingered a faint bit, it was clouded by all the different types of perfumes floating about the air. Despite of those scents I picked hers out and followed it, she smelled like roses her scent was intoxicating. Sniffing her scent calmed the rage within me a little, pushing and weaving through the thick crowd proved to be a challenge. Sighing I cursed myself under my breath for wearing my brand new black Jordan's, as they were getting stepped on a lot in the crowd. Suddenly I spotted the top of Ravens head, the closer I got to her the stronger her scent became.

"Raven!" I yelled. She kept going but, I had a feeling she heard me because she picked up her speed. My wolf was hurt by that action it pained him to think she was trying to distance herself from him. Sighing, I picked up speed my legs were long so soon I was two people behind her. I knew my only hope of talking to her was getting her into the janitors closet right by the stairs. Pushing aside the two people ahead of me I was rewarded with a stream of cussing. Grabbing Raven by the elbow I steered her towards the janitors closet.

"What the hell do you think your doin?!" She hissed at me once the door was shut and the light turned on. The rage I felt minutes early disappeared my eyes roamed her body. My wolf was going crazy from being so close to his mate in this cramped area. The smell of clorox was heavy in the area and even though I was standing a few feet away from a dirty mop didn't bother me. My emotions took over all I could think about was being near Raven. Slowly my eyes moved back up her body, and locked with hers.

"Rick...." Raven whispered before, my lips came crashing down on hers. At first, she stood stick straight shocked by what was happening. But slowly the shock left her and she let her arms snake around my neck. She moaned against my lips sending my wolf wild I pulled her tightly me against then pushed her up against the wall. As I pushed her up against the wall my arm hit the shelves next to us rattling the cleaning products. But I didn't care even with the slight hint of pain tingling through my arm even when some of the products rolled of the shelf. Her lips were soft and felt good against mine. Suddenly the door flew open and we jumped apart quickly and I jumped in front of Raven. Shielding her from the startled janitor whose face turned bright red with anger when he seen two shelves worth of stuff on the floor.

"What the hell do you kids think your doing! Your in so much trouble! Couldn't keep your hands off each other huh? So you thought 'Hey we could get hot and heavy in the janitors closet he won't mind even if we make a mess of all his cleaning products'!" The janitor screamed before cussing under his breath. "And why aren't you in class? It started 10 minutes ago?"

I looked down at my gold watch sure enough we were ten minutes late for first period. Grabbing Ravens hand I rushed by the janitor. But instead, of running towards the stairs to go up to the second floor for first period I headed towards the exit. The janitor screamed after, us as he realized we were headed for the exit. "Hey you get back here! Wait till I find out who you are! I'm going for the principal right now!"

I burst through the doors and descended down the stairs tugging Raven with me. As we reached my Mustang I let her go and hopped in the driver seat while, she climbed in the passengers seat. I sped off just in time for the janitor to come bursting out, with the principal at tow.

I parked the car in a parking garage eight blocks from the school. The ride here was silent, I scanned the empty parking lot area. I went all the way to the top on the roof because, I figured no one would want to park all the way at the top and have to make a long trip down.

"What happened back there?" whispered Raven staring out the passenger window at the empty stretch of parking spaces.

"I don't know. I'm sorry though." I whispered back. Her eyes snapped to mine I was horrified as her almond colored eyes filled with tears.

"So I'm guessing this means nothings changed between us?" She asked as a single tear slid its way down her cheek. I resisted the urge to wipe it away, my wolf was dieing of pain inside watching her cry for my mistake. I felt my heart throb as more tears slid down her face. Raven cried silently waiting expectantly for an answer. I see the hope in her eyes and I turn away so I won't see the pain as I say,"I'm sorry I don't know what came over me. But I'll make sure it never happens again."

Raven gasp in shock before screaming,"You asshole I hate you! How could you play with my feelings like that! You only wanted me when you seen someone else showing interest! But when you get me you don't want me! Stay out of my life you jerk-off!" She pushes open the passenger door and slams it shut running as fast as her legs can take her away from me.

I feel tears well in my eyes. Shes right at the thought of that guy having her it sent me insane. So I went after her, to make sure no other guy had her. But when I did the spark went away when the janitor found us. I felt the sparkling intensity of me needing to be with her when our kiss was broken. I groaned, thinking of the kiss. How the soft her lips was and how good her body felt against mine or how wild mt wolf went when she started to kiss me back. I leaned my head against the steering wheel and closed my eyes fighting back the tears I felt coming on.
