I hadn't slept for two days. My eyes were bloodshot and my bags had bags. Saturday was probably the worst night in my life. Rick's text-ed me nonstop since, I left the party but I haven't responded to any of them.
"Sweetie? Don't you think you should go to school today." said my mom as she poked her head in my bedroom door.
"Mom...I can't not after Saturday. I just can't." My mom gave me a sympathetic look. She eased her way out of my room shutting the door softly behind her. I pulled my knees to my chest wrapping my arms around my legs. Then I put my head in my lap and cried for the thousandth time this weekend.
This all Carmen's fault. growled my wolf.
How could she do this to me?
Because she's a hoe, and that's what hoes do.
I tuned my wolf out after that. My phone began vibrating on my dresser for like the thousandth time today! Groaning, I went to retrieve it and looked at the screen to see it was Tina calling........again. Well I guess that's better than Rick. He called, text-ed, and emailed me constantly. I knew I was being unfair by not talking to him, seeing as this wasn't his fault. But I couldn't help but be mad at him for some reason.
I ignored Tina's call and was getting to climb back into bed when someone began pounding on my door. What the fuck?! I stomped over to the door and swung it open and glared at Tina who glared right back at me.
"What are you doing here?" I snapped venom lacing my words.
"Well hello to you too bestie!" She said cheerily. Shoving me aside to walk into my room before, plopping on my bed.
"Tina wha-" I began but was cut off.
"Shh don't act like your not happy to see. Especially after, I almost knocked Carmen out for you." Tina said in a bored tone. She was staring intently at her iPhone screen probably reading a text message.
"You did what?!" I screamed in disbelief. She looked up at me smirking and winked before turning back to her screen.
"I can't believe I missed that! That bitch so got what she deserved!" I chirped skipping to my bed. I loved Tina soo much she always knew how to make me feel better.
"I'm guessing your going to school tomorrow?" Tina asked.
"Hell yes! I HAVE to see her face!" Tina raised her eyebrow at me as I giggled. I gave her a playful swat on the butt before laying next to her on the bed. Tina laughed before her mood suddenly went serious.
"What about Rick?" I felt like I was on cloud nine. And those three words sent me crashing back down to earth.
"I don't know." I couldn't Tina's eyes.
"Well Ice Queen maybe I should go. Seeing as when you gave me a very icy greeting a minutes ago! But when you found I gave that the ass beating of a lifetime then your my bestie again!" Tina chuckled obviously changing the subject. Very happy for the subject change I gladly went right along with her.
"No!" I gripped Tina's arm as she began walking towards the door.
"Mommy help! Ravens hurting me!" whined Tina as my mom walked into the room. Chuckling my mom tried to look serious as she scolded me,"Raven Lions if you do not let go of Tina's arm this moment your grounded!"
I instantly released Tina's arm and laughed as Tina who had still been struggling to get out of my grip fell to the ground. She landed on her face with her butt in the air.
"Ouchy." moaned Tina. I covered my mouth with my hand trying to keep from bursting into laughter. I glanced at my mom to see her trying to control her laughter as well. Her face was all scrunched up and her eyes really wide. Tina was pulling herself off the ground and rubbing her head.
"Thanks for making sure I'm ok! Oh so your laughing at me aye?" She snapped after looking from me to my mom. Then burst out laughing. Me and my mother joined in and laughed for a very long time before gasping for breath.
"I'll catch up with you girls later. I promised Mrs..Riley that I'd be over to babysit." My mom said. She left the room and moments later I heard the front door shutting behind her.
"So you spending the night?" I asked glancing at my alarm clock that read 7:20pm. Tina nodded and began rummaging through my drawers looking for pajama bottoms.
"You ready for this?" Tina asked as we pulled into the parking lot of our high school.
"If it means I might get to see Carmen with a black eye..............HELL YES!" I laughed. Last night Tina and I stayed up watching romantic comedies. We had a blast and even had a popcorn war. That's one thing I loved about Tina she always knew how to make me feel better.
I stepped out of Tina's car and instantly felt peoples eyes on me. I tugged on my denim mini skirt trying to pull it down a little. I hope this skirt isn't to short.
"Don't worry no ones looking at your skirt Hun. They all just feel bad for you because Carmen being such a whore." Tina said as if reading my mind.
"Your sure? Because last thing I need is for guys to be tryna get a peek up my skirt. And girls to think I'm letting them in hopes of getting a new man because of Carmen stealing mine." I whispered to Carmen as we began to walk up to the entrance of the school.
"Ha ha! You worry too much. And Carmen couldn't steal a guy from you EVER!" laughed Tina looping her arm through mine. She had on long extensions that reached just under shoulder blade and she had curled it and was wearing white skinny jeans with a black halter top and black heels. Red lip gloss had her lips shining with black feather earrings to top it all off. She looked stunning and I felt very plain next to her.
How could she not expect someone to be able to steal a man from me when I was just so........plain?
"Yea sure." I mumbled not wanting to fight about this. I felt someones arm wrap around my shoulders and looked up into a stunning pair of blue eyes.
"Hey Mark!" I chirped. Reaching up to ruffle his blond hair and grinned as he glared at me.
"Hey you know how long it took me to do my hair this morning?" Me and Tina laughed and he smiled smoothing down his hair.
"Mark! Come here! You gotta see this video bro!"
"I'll catch up with you ladies later." Mark said pulling one of Tina's curls. She swatted his hand and glared at him,"Hands off the curls!"
"But I love playing with them." He fake pouted.
"That's what she said." Tina smirked at him. I burst out laughing as Mark chuckled walking away.
"So mature Tina." I giggled. We reached my locker and I began unlocking it when the crowd parted and a hush fell over the crowd. I turned to see Carmen walking with her head down quickly through the halls.
"Slut!" Someone yelled. A chorus of laughter filled the hallway and people began flooding the hallway again and the normal noisy began once again.
"I didn't get to see my handiwork. Her hair was blocking her face." whined Tina. I giggled and got the things that I needed from my locker. The bell rang and people began hurriedly to their classrooms. I turned around to head to homeroom when I ran into someone. I lost my footing and stumbled backwards and was saved from crashing into the lockers by two strong arms wrapping around me.
"T-thanks." I stammered and looked up to meet a dazzling pair of black eyes.
