Apples For Two

I was sleeping peacefully in my bed, dreaming of the most childish things imaginable. I mean, kinda.

Anyway, I woke up slowly, my eyes drifting open as the sunshine from outside made its way into my bedroom. I stretched and whined as my body was moved from its slumber. I sat up and looked around, still a bit dazed and drowsy.

Yawning, I stood up. I smiled and giggled as I thought about the day it was today.

It's the day Dialo makes his amazing pies again! I can't wait!

I quickly got dressed and ran outside, smelling the fresh air and smiling. The grass was still a little wet from the dew but I didn't care. I ran to the shed in my back yard and brought out a basket to collect apples with.

I then ran to the apple trees I had near my house and began to pick one after another. It was quiet and peaceful, and I liked it. I kept picking them, and soon my basket was becoming full. I heard a slight ruffle-like noises, but brushed them off as the birds or the wind. I turned to pick up my basket when-

"Boo!"

I squealed in surprise and fell backwards, catching my balance on a tree branch near me. I looked up to who scared me, only to see Yosafire.

I huffed and turned away from him, "Yosaf! You nearly scared me to death!"

He laughed and flicked his tail, winking and sticking out his tongue, "Ah, no way! I was just kiddin' around, (Y/N)!"

I smiled slightly, unable to be mad with him. He was just too adorkibly cute.

"Haha, funny." I said sarcastically, "Now help me up."

He rolled his eyes, "Not without a please!~"

I sighed and averted my eyes, "Pleaaaaase?"

He held out his hand, and I reached up for him, only to be surprised(yet again) when he fell on top of me, when I was supposed to be helped up.

I squealed and blushed a bright red, "Y-Yosafire?!"

He snickered, "I guess you made me fall too huh?"

I whined and he chuckled. He got up and walked backwards slightly, actually tripping this time. He fell into my basket of apples.

I blinked and tried to process everything. Then I got up and dusted myself off.

"Are you okay?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.

He nodded, "Yeah! Just a little surprised and maybe a little bruised but its good!"

He got up and looked at where he fell, then turned to me.

"Haha, sorry. I broke it." He mumbled sheepishly as he blushed a bit and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Nah you're good, just help me pick more apples and bring them to Dialo!"

He smiled and nodded, "But where can we get another basket?"

"Who cares I just want some pie!"

He laughed and nodded, "Me too! Let's get to picking!"

I laughed and reached up to grasp the first apple I saw, as did he.

He giggled and wrapped his tail around mine, whispering something I couldn't catch. But I knew.
