This is just a short chapter on how Caelan and Victoria met. There's a but more but I think this is okay for just now. Maybe I'll publish the rest in a bit.
It's in Caelan's POV
I sat on my bed and huffed. Willow was still out on the deck waiting for the Captain and she was going to die from the cold.
I heard footsteps and voices. I sighed and lay back in my bed. The Captain must have came back. But why weren't they going to bed?
I climbed put of bed quietly. My bare feet padding on the wooden floor as I grabbed my training sword. It was nade of wood but can still do quite a bit of damage.
Peering through the small window looking out onto the deck, I saw Willow talking to a man who was hidden in the shadows. I couldn't tell who it was but I knew that it wasn't the Captain.
I stumbled back on my toes and jumped up again as quickly as I could to see the figure holding her. I froze. I should be helping her but in that moment I couldn't move.
The figure jumped into the air and flew away.
Pan.
The Captain ran out and stared after them helplessly. He shouted after them and I felt my eyes well up as I ran to another window and watched them disapear.

I stood at the entrance to the school and looked around. Women and girls stood in brightly coloured dresses and men wore fine tailored suits in pastel shades.
I kept my head down as I walked through the crowds and up the stairs to my room. I groaned as I stepped in and saw my roomates. I had hoped to get there before them.
Eddie, Ben and Will sat on one bed talking as I threw my bags on the floor beside my bed and sat down. Ben laughed. "Find Willow this year pirate?" He called out.
I groaned. Why did I get put with these half-wits?
Willow was taken 11 years ago. I was 5 but I remember if like it was yesterday. However every year I lose hope that she'll ever come back.
"She probably ran away from your ugly mug" Will joked.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm going downstairs" I said before getting out of that room as quickly as possible.
I grumbled to myself as I stomped through the corridors. Every year I deal with their crap. Every single year. I looked up and saw a flash of blonde hair before I collided with a particulary short girl.
I was never the most graceful person and when I tried to catch her I accidently hit her as she fell. I cursed under my breath as she glared up at me. She had blue eyes and perfect skin. Her pink lips were pursed as she scowled at me.
I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly as I held out my other hand to help her up. She sighed and took it. I grinned as I pulled her up and she finally smiled back.
"Victoria" she said holding her hand out strangely.
"Caelan" I shook it and she frowned at me. "What?" I said as she glanced me over.
"You're that pirate aren't you?" She asked
"I guess?" I shrugged and looked around. The welcomimg ceremony was tonight and I wasn't allowed to miss it.
