Donnie was quiet, he could hear only the breathing of his friends around himself. He was dead eyed as he looked at Syth, Gilbert, and Shrignold, all in a restless state of unconsciousness.

He sighed, leaning back against the wall, staring out the small window and out into the woods beyond it.

He felt so close to freedom he could nearly taste it. He just wanted his friends to be safe, he just wanted to feel okay again.

However, Donnie knew that wasn't going to happen as long as he was inside this damned house. He slowly started to walk towards the door of the bedroom.

He opened the door silently, walking out into the hallway, and towards the kitchen, eyes half lidded and not really focused on where he was going.

The small kitchen was seemingly empty when he reached it, he leaned against the counter and fiddled with his fingers.

"Why, Why do you insist on making me miserable?.." he sighed softly, as he saw a slight movement in the corner of his eye.

Roy walked out with a blank stare, Crossing his arms. "This is good for you." He insisted hoarsely, and Donnie lashed a glare at his father.

"How so? How is driving me and my friends to insanity good for me? Watching myself and my Friends die daily?" He sneered, digging his nails into his skin.

Roy hummed, looking down at his son like they were talking about something as boring as what was in yesterday's newspaper. "Trust me, the real world outside is much worse then what happens in here."

Donnie clenched his teeth. "To hell with that logic! Out there was way fucking better then the hellhole I'm stuck in Again." He cursed at his father.

Roy shrugged. "Believe what you want, but in here is much better." He said slowly, and Donnie snapped at him, slamming a hand down on the counter top. "Explain one way how this is better! " he exclaimed in fury.

This time his father didn't speak, making Donnie huff in satisfaction. "That's what I thought." He hissed and went to leave the room, but he felt disgust run through him when his fathers hand landed on his shoulder. "Why won't you just leave us alone? All of us?" Donnie asked, thinking about Larry's haunted look.

Roy coughed. "Because, your my son, and I'm trying to protect you, and I've brought friends to make sure you'll never be lonely." He said softly.

Donnie sneered. "You're sick, you know that right?" He spat at his father, yanking himself away and turning around to face him with cold, defiant eyes.

They stared each other down for a moment before Donnie spoke. "I'm going to find a way out of this hell you've trapped us in, weather you like it or not. You can't stop me."

Roys eyes narrowed. "And how will you get them to follow you?" He asked, talking about the teachers. "I control them. They alone listen to me."

Donnie's heart was pounding as his fathers stare seemed to start pinning him to the ground. "I'll find a way, I've told you, I'm not as dumb as you think, Roy. Neither are they." He said, turning away and dashing back to the room, Roy didn't call after him.

The teenager shut the door quietly behind himself and stared with wide eyes down at the floor, he felt himself ponder the thought over and over again.

How was he going to free the teachers from his fathers cold authority? He just couldn't figure out how his father was doing it.

He sank down to the floor and bit his lip as he tried to think of all the ways his father could've done it. He thought over hypnotism, it seemed likely, maybe he's controlling them through brain waves, similar to hypnotism..

Donnie ran his fingers through his hair. He felt So close the answers to get them all out of here once and for all, by they were just barely out of reach..
