"Sing another" Ryder says with a mock angry face and pouty lips.

"That was the third one!" I protested towards the phone screen.

After his show, he's been stubbornly angry about me spacing out on responding to his text messages and when he reached their hotel we facetimed then he's asked me to sing songs to him like a child while he's cooped up in his hotel bed.

"You forgot about me while you're with Andrew" He reminds saying Andrew's name with venom then furrowed his brows.

I giggle a little and responded "I didn't forget you because of Andre-"

"Shush, now sing love" he interrupts smirking.

I narrow my eyes at him and cleared my throat "This is the last one..." I warned.

He smiles and nods then closes his eyes as if anticipating my voice.

"All I want is nothing more
To hear you knocking at my door"

I began, my voice a little rough from sleepiness.

"'Cause if I could see your face once more" I continued and then all of a sudden Ryder sings with his eyes closed "I would die a happy man I'm sure"

A smile creeps up my face and I see him slowly open his eyes, our phone's at our faces as we're laying on our sides in two different beds from opposite sides of the continent.

"Could, it's could. How do you always get the lyrics of songs wrong?" I said laughingly.

"Pretty sure it's would" He challenges.

I let out a deep breath of disbelief thinking 'he's hopeless' then laughed, he laughed with me then we fall into comfortable silence.

I look at him and rub my thumb to his face from my phone screen.

"I'm sorry" I whispered.

He gives me a warm smile "I was never mad, I can never be mad at you" he answers huskily. His face shows his sleepiness and tiredness, his face is so serene and soothing.

"You should rest" I said.

He stubbornly shakes his head, "I'm sorry for what happened in the boat" he says suddenly.

"That wasn't your fault, have you figured out how that happened?" I asked.

His furrowed eyebrows deepens "Not yet, but Scoot's on it. Lately we notice how my location's being leaked even with our efforts of staying stealthy"

"Hmm, maybe the media's getting better" I answered.

He protrudes his lips like in thought "Maybe... something's just off- there was this article that had this source who said things that were so close to what really is up"

I stayed quiet and let his words sink in, I remember that particular article the one which basically dissected all of our moves. Does he mean someone on the in of his circle's leaking things about him?

"They're all nagging to ask me about Lux - it doesn't help that I'll be on a late night show tomorrow" He said laughingly.

I grinned at the thought of him answering questions about his relations to a baby.

"She's the cutest girl you've ever been asked about, I'll be watching" I teased.

"I agree and yeah watch me probably say something stupid again " He said with his now gruffy voice and then a yawn escapes his lips.

"You won't now rest up, I'll be meeting with a producer tomorrow too. Goodnight Ryder" I said, keeping my eyes to his face.
