Gail and I are in our apartment's living room sat and listening eagerly to the radio.
"Seriously can they just get on with it!" She sneers.
I remain silent but can't blame her for I too am anticipating way too much for the release of the song Ryder wrote.
Not much about it was revealed - not even the title only that Ryder wrote it and gave it to X factor winners Alex and Sierra.
"So the whole world is excited about your song, how does that feel?" The radio host asks.
"Well, it's quite nerve wracking for us you know, the hype that built up and all because of the fact that someone like Ryder Crawford wrote it but at the same time we're just as excited to finally put it out there" Sierra answers very articulately.
"Yeah especially now that he just disappeared from the face of the earth, a lot of people are really biting their nails for this. So tell me- how did it happen?" The host goes on.
"So I got a call from him and we've been waiting for him to call since we recorded it and he just so casually told me 'about the song... do it' or something cool like that. And I was freaking out inside but I kind of wanted to sound cool too you know" Alex said laughing making the host and Sierra chuckle.
"I bet- so did you like write it with him?" The host digs further making me release a deep sigh.
'Let us hear the damn song' I internally hissed.
"Not really no, he gave it to our manager but he was there when we recorded the song, he was very hands on with it like he had a clear vision on what he wanted it to sound like and the emotions involved, it really showed the song meant something to him." Sierra answered.
"Yeah and I wanna make sure I let it known- he actually told me that if ever it came up that it gets asked what his inspiration was for the song that I tell people and he literally asked me to write it down which I did- cause I didn't wanna mess it up." Alex added.
"So what did he say?" The host asks eagerly.
Gail and I exchange glances and she bobs her eyebrows up and down.
"He said it's about that night that he keeps coming back to, when he wished he said that he loved her. He's been kicking himself ever since" Alex answers immediately.
My heart dropped to the floor while Abigail just dropped her body to the floor squealing.
"Oh man Ryder knows how to be romantic!!!" She shrieks.
A goofy grin etches on my mouth that I can't seem to wipe off no matter how hard I try.
"Wow- that's something now I wanna hear it all the more. Let's end the anticipation and play the song exclusive right here on BBC 1" the host says and the intro began after a quick moment.

My breath instantly hitches with the first line.

Abigail is squirming in weird directions while bottling up her squeal but I'm still awestruck with my mouth wide open.
