88 - Us First

"We're so glad we finally get to meet you Silver" Anne says as we settled into our restaurant seats.

Ryder's sitting next to me wearing a sideways smile looking at his mom then me.

"I'm so glad to meet you both too, really am" I answered whole heartedly.

She smiles warmly and then slides her eyes to Ryder.

"How did you and my brother meet? You know- before the tour?" Gemma then asks.

I turn my head slightly to Ryder and he lets out a laugh and look down. Our gesture probably confusing both his mom and Gemma.

"Bought a record on a store she works in." Ryder cuts in smirking.

Gemma eyes him and then me before releasing a light laugh.

"I bet he was a jerk." She says laughingly looking at me.

I opened my mouth to answer but then laughed along with her.

"Can't say he wasn't entirely." I then replied in between laugh making Anne join in our laughing.

Ryder places his hand to his chest gesturing mock hurt but then laughed silently making his shoulders rock back and forth.

Then the orders arrive and all of us engaged in light conversations getting to know each other further.

I learned quite a few things about Ryder's childhood how he was a proper show off even when he was young and how much he liked performing even then.

While I tell them all about Arizona and my mom, Abigail and even the Andersons.

All the nervousness I've been feeling meeting them slowly faded away as we had our conversations. They are both very lovely and nice people, and Ryder's surprisingly very casual and his face looks at ease when he's with them.

"We'll go meet some friends before going home" Ryder says as he pays for the check.

"Silver might be tired honey" Anne says looking over at me.

Ryder turns his head to look at me as if silently asking me if I was tired.

"Um- I'm alright, thank you. how are we meeting?" I said in a low voice.

"Ethan and some friends here. You sure you're up for it?" Ryder asks smiling knowingly at me.

My face lights up at the mention of Ethan, I haven't seen him in a while. He's been putting together his album here in London and laying low before he releases it just in time for the tour.

I look up to Ryder and nodded eagerly, grinning from ear to ear.

He lets out a laugh and looks at his mom smugly.

"Alright fine- you two take care and have fun." She says letting out light laughs.

Then we headed out of the restaurant and now a shiny Audi is parked right in front of the SUV we came in with.

Ryder and I gave Gemma and Anne a quick hug and said our goodbyes then Ryder leads me to the shiny black Audi opening the door for me.

"Thank you" I said.

He smirks and watches me slide in and closes the door after me then circles around the car to the driver's seat.

We began driving towards where we're supposed to meet Ethan and the others.

I look at him and a warm feeling envelopes my heart, I've been waiting for this moment to happen in such a long time.

Right here it's just like how it used to be with him and me but somehow everything seems better.
