Autumn's Point of View.

With Odell being out of the house and I having nothing else to do, I decided to drive to a nearby store to do some grocery shopping for the house.

Today was my day off; at least I could make it productive.

Stepping out of my car, I made sure the door was locked before grabbing a shopping cart that stood lonely on the side of my car.

Walking through the automatic sliding door, I was immediately greeted with the bright fluorescent lights beaming over me, employees with bad attitudes, and the sound of cash registers opening and closing.

Sighing, I needed to get this shopping done before Odell gets home from practice.

Walking over to aisle eight, I scanned the shelves before grabbing two boxes of pasta to put into my basket.

I was feeling for chicken Alfreda tonight, and I certainly was going to have it.

Not before I could I make my way to the produce section to grab the rest of the ingredients for tonight's dinner, I heard a voice I grew to hate over the years.

"Autumn?"

Rolling my eyes, was he suppose to be in Washington and not in Cleveland?

Turning around to face my ex-boyfriend, I folded my arms across my chest, wondering what in the Hell he wanted from me.

"Yes, Norman?"

"I can't get a hug or a kiss from you?" He grinned, showing his pearly whites.

"No."

Watching him as he came closer to where I stood, I made sure I felt my phone in my back pocket.

Sensing the discomfort I had when I was near him, he stuffed his hands in his front pockets with a smile still plastered on his face. "You still with that boy?"

"That boy who has a name kicked your ass in week one, and will again Sunday night," I boldly sassed with a roll of my neck.

He chuckles before shrugging. "I guess we will see then."

"Whatever, I'm glad you cheated on me," I said at last before turning around to finish my shopping.

"I see you in two days baby girl," he yelled after me, making me cringe at the name-calling.

What did I ever saw him? I thought to myself.

____________

"I'm home," Odell called out while closing the front door behind me.

"I'm in the kitchen!"

Turning around from stirring the contents in the pot, I was surprised to see him looking upset.

"Tell me why your ex has you on his Instagram today?"

Scrunching my face in confusion, what in the world was he talking about?

"Answer me, Autumn?" He asked while showing me what he was talking about on his phone.

He had Josh's Instagram on the screen and had an old picture of me from a few years ago.

Reading the caption under the picture, I gasped.

I tell you my room number after the game. I'll remind you what it feels like to be with a real man.

"I ran into him today at the market and had a few words for him," I tried to reason with him, not wanting him to be mad at me.

He rubbed his forehead before taking a seat in one of the kitchen chairs.

"I believe you baby girl. For that asshole, I'll see him in two days, and I'll show him who's the man in your life."

Turning the stove off, I walked over to where Odell sat and took a seat on his laps.

"I love you and only you," I whispered slowly while kissing him on the lips.

"I know, and I love you too," he smiled, kissing me back.
