"He was the teacher and I was the student."

Your Point of View.

With today being my first day going to a new school and being forced to meet new people, the thought of entering a new environment had butterflies flying inside my stomach.

At the start of my senior year of high school, my dad decided to pack our things and move us down to Louisiana.

With a new job that paid more, it was stupid if he didn't take it.

Now standing in my undecorated room, I couldn't decide if I should wear something fancy or keep it casual.

Rather feeling comfortable than not, I decided on a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.

And another thing, what was the point of dressing up when I didn't have anybody to impress.

Dressing into the comfortable outfit, I straightened my room for my liking, before heading downstairs with one thing in mind.

Food.

Being careful not to wake up my sleeping parents, I quietly rambled through the refrigerator's drawers until I came across the food I was looking for.

Picking up the bowl of cantaloupe and strawberries, I closed the door with a sly smile.

Walking over to the kitchen table and taking a seat in one of the chairs, I devoured the tasty fruits in delight.

Silently munching on my breakfast, I took out my phone, checking my Instagram feed, wondering who posted what on their accounts.

Laughing at the few pictures my friends from my old school posted recently, I couldn't help but think about them.

Did they miss me?

Getting up from the rigidity chair I sat in once I was done, I washed the bowl before putting it into one of the empty cabinets.

Grabbing my phone from the kitchen table, I quietly crept back upstairs to finish getting ready.

Once upstairs, I walked into my bathroom to make sure that my hygiene was in check, not wanting to be known as the new girl who smelt terrible on the first day.

As I brushed my teeth, I combed my hair into a ponytail, not knowing what else to do with it.

After I was done, I spit out the cinnamon based toothpaste before washing my mouth with cold water.

Grabbing a face towel from the bottom of my sink, I wiped my mouth.

Noticing the sweat on my forehead and the trembling of my hands, I picked up my book bag from the floor of my closet, ready to put this day in the history books.

Closing the front door to my house and locking it, I got into my 2005 Camry and sped away to an unknown place.

Typing in the school's address on my phone's GPS, the robotic voice filled the silent space of the car.

"Make a right turn on Swish Avenue and your destination will be on your left in two miles."

Doing what I was told, I arrived at a large brick building in a three minute time period.

Pulling into the already crowded parking lot, I parked my car on the last row.

"You can do this y/n," I whispered to myself as I grabbed my things from the passenger seat and got out.

Trying to find someone to ask for directions, I spotted a group of girls laughing loudly by a black Range Rover.

Walking up to them, I gave them a small smile. "Hi! I was wondering where I should go. I'm new here."

Feeling slightly uncomfortable at the way they were sizing me up, I tried to look anywhere, but their eyes.

"Don't ask us pig!" The blonde girl exclaimed as she twirled a string of her hair on her fingers. "Why should we tell you?"

"Sorry for asking." I looked at them with disbelief before walking my butt away from them.

On the inside, I felt terrible, but I wasn't going to let them know that their expressions and words got under my skin.

I was just wondering how to find my classes. That's all.

Letting out a few profanities at how lost I was, I looked around to find someone else to help me.

Spotting a cute boy getting out of his car, I ran over to him with desperation.

"Hi! Could you help me? I'm a new student here."

As I said those last words, he looked up at me from a piece of paper in his hands.

"Sure!" He said as he led me to the front of the school.

"Thank you." I blushed as we came to a stop at the glass doors.

He rubbed the back of his neck as he spoke once again. "No problem Miss?"

"It's Y/n."

"Nice to meet you Miss y/n, I hope to see you in one of my classes soon."

Biting my lip as he opened the door for me, he showed his white pearly teeth before leaving me in the middle of the hallway, staring at his butt.

I agreed with him. I also hope with had a class together.

He was cute.
