Chapter Four
His eyes never changed. They were still intimidating than ever.
"Are you freakin' insane, Clifford Tyler?" Bulyaw ko sa kanya.
He didn't even flinch at my sudden outburst. His hand still warm on my back. The burning electricity surrounded every nerve in my body.
"Just Tyler, Olivia."
Was he crazy? Someone might come and see us!
"Will you please remove your hand?" Tanong ko. I hoped he'd follow me this time though.
"I need your answer, Olivia. Why did you just leave that morning?" May bahid ng hinanakit ang tono niya.
I didn't know what's with him and my leaving. What we had was clearly just a night of hook-up. I wasn't even sober that time! And I was damn going through a lot. I didn't have the luxury of time to entertain him in my whole stay in Maldives.
"Weren't you familiar about the rule of hook-ups, Clifford Tyler?" Tanong ko. His brows furrowed in confusion.
I wasn't familiar with it myself, either. I just wanted this man to leave me alone.
"What?" Matigas niyang salita. His hand gripped me tigther.
"It's nothing to me, Clifford Tyler. That meant nothing to me. How many times do I have to tell you that?"
"We both know it meant to you more than ever. I felt it!" He reason out, his voice rising a little.
"What you felt was wrong!" Sigaw ko. My breathing hitched at my shouting.
His hand loosened behind my back. He stared at me wide-eyed.
"I don't believe you." It's more like a whisper but I heard it clearly.
I sighed in frustration.
"Look, Clifford Tyler, I have no time for this. Stop pestering me, okay?"
He stayed where I left him.
On my way to the hotel, namataan ko ang mapanuring mata ni Ran. I ignored him.
I heard his heavy footsteps.
"Olivia." He addressed me. Tiningnan ko siya.
"Ran Dane."
Ran didn't inform me that his cousin's coming!
"I take it that you already saw my cousin." Sambit niya sa akin. Umiling ako.
"I don't know what's going on but I'm sure there's something between you two."
"There's nothing going on, Mr. Villafuerte."
Laking pasalamat ko ang bumukas ang elevator. I stepped inside, leaving Ran outside. Sumarado ang pinto.
I walked back to my room.
I didn't know what's happening and why Tyler had to follow me all the way here. Even if it was just a mere coincident that he's related to Ran, I still felt bothered.
