Chapter Twenty-one

Alec's pov

When I woke up earlier and Jackie wasn't there I'll admit I went a little crazy... I mean she only just got her memories back and I thought she'd done something bad, like run away from us or something like that, I even woke Alaya which can be really dangerous. You should never wake Alaya up unless its absolutely necessary or she'll kill you...

Anyway I was so happy when she got back, I can't even describe the feeling... And her new haircut makes her look even more beautiful. I know I said before that I liked Jackie, but I-I think I love her...

Jackie's pov

After Alaya and Alec calmed down I got them to come into my room so we could talk.

"You two really are the best friends anyone could ever have" I say giving each of them a hug

"Well we really care about you Jackie" Alaya says and I smile

"And that's why I love you both" I say and Alaya grins widely and Alec stares at me like he wants to say something

"I love you too Jackie, I really do" he says making me blush bright red and the butterflies swarm in my stomach... I've been getting this feeling a lot when Alec's around me and I don't know why... I think I might like him. That's weird for me though, I mean I've never liked a boy before so I don't know how I'm supposed to act. I don't want to change just because I like him, and I don't want to tell him in case he doesn't like me back. I think I might need to talk to Alaya about this... Maybe she'll understand what I'm going through.

"Well what do you guys want to do?" I ask them both because there both just stood there staring at me

"I don't know about you guys but I really want to record that new song jackie wrote the other day" Alaya says and Alec nods in agreement.

"Well the let's go do it!" I say and they both grin before taking off down the hall to the recording room.

I roll my eyes but follow them to the room and watch as Alaya turns on her keyboard and Alec gets his drums set up. I walk over to my guitar and give it a strum to make sure that its in tune, which it is, before turning back to A and Alec

"So anyone have any idea how we can start it off?" I ask and Alaya nods and starts to play some notes on her keyboard. After a few more notes I start strumming some chords that sound goo when she plays her notes and Alec adds a drum beat.

"Wow that sounds awesome!" Alec exclaims

" I agree! I just need to finish writing the lyrics now!" I say smiling widely

"Seeing as were done here for a bit, why don't we go watch a movie?" Alaya suggests and me and Alec agree

** after watching texas chainsaw massacre**

That was the scariest film ever! By the end of the film I was almost sat on Alec's lap with my face buried in his chest as he help me tightly.

"Is it just me or is anyone else absolutely terrified?" Alaya asks sounding freaked out

"M-me" I say stuttering a little

"I have to admit even I'm a little scared" Alec says pulling me closer to him

"Why don't we go for a walk? Maybe that will calm us down" Alaya suggests and we all agree.

After pulling our shoes on and walking out of the door Alec grabs my hand and we all walk towards the park. I hear a branch snap and quickly look around

"Did you guys hear that?" I ask them with wide eyes

"Hear what?" A asks in a scared voice

"Umm.. Nothing it doesn't matter... It was just my imagination" I say trying to convince us both. We finally reach the park and I drag Alec over to the swings. I sit on the swing and Alec walks behind me and starts to push the swing.

You would think that because of my past and everything that happened, that I would have never been to the park before but I have. Even though my parents hated me, their next door neighbour Mrs Ferns had always taken me out on a saturday when I was a kid. But then she passed away and I was forced to stay and take all there abuse. Our other neighbour was a nice old woman that always smiled as I walked to school, but I never did find out her name.

"Jackie? Jackie are you okay?" Someone asked snapping their fingers in my face

"What? Of course I'm okay" I say a little confused

"We've been trying to get your attention for about five minutes now and you weren't responding" Alec says looking worried again

"Sorry I guess I got lost in my thoughts" I tell them

"Okay, well me and Alec were thinking that maybe it would be best if we went back home. I mean I'm kind of freaked out sitting here and being this close to a woods right after watching that film." Alaya says and I nod in agreement

"Let's go then" I say

"After I walk you two home I have to run and see my dad, is that okay?" He asks looking at me

"Of course" I say and Alaya nods next to me

** Back Home **

Me and Alaya walk up to her room after saying goodbye to Alec. As soon as we walk threw the door Alaya pushes me to her bed and sits down

"Okay spill" she says looking at me expectantly

"What do you mean?" I ask confused

"What's going on with you and Alec?" She asks and I shrug "Come on Jackie, your my best friend and sister, you can tell me anything" she says and I sigh

"I don't know A, I always feel weird when I'm around him. Its like I have butterflies in my stomach and I just feel like smiling all of the time" I say and she giggles

"Do you like him? As more than a friend?" She questions

"I-I don't know... I think I do" I admit and she squeals in happiness

"This is amazing! I knew it!" She says grinning

"You knew what?" I ask

"That you both liked each other" she says giving me a look that clearly say 'Duh!'

"He likes me?" I ask shocked

"Yes! He told me and I waited to see if you liked him too and you do!" She says happily. Wait so... Alec likes me... Wow
