Being friends with Stevie Nicks kind of guaranteed that something crazy would happen but when she shows up on your doorstep with Lindsey Buckingham one morning you knew something wild was going to happen.

"Emily!!!!" She called. I got out of my bed and stuck my head out the window, "What? Hold on." I walked out of my room and downstairs to open the door. Stevie hugged me, ''We're leaving for tour this afternoon and Lindsey and I wanted to know if you wanted to come with us." I shook my head, "I got my job." Stevie laughed, "Honey, I thought you wanted to sing with us? This is your chance." I sat there for a minute, "I gotta get coffee." I walked into the kitchen and started to make coffee, "Want some?" Stevie shook her head, but Lindsey nodded. I brought the two mugs and and handed one to Lindsey, "Thanks." "No problem." I said taking a sip. "So, what do you think?" Stevie eagerly asked, "Will you come with us?" I nodded, "Why not?!" Stevie jumped, "We have to pack!"

Lindsey waited downstairs while Stevie and I packed my bags. "Linds!" Stevie called downstairs, "Help us carry these pleeease?" Lindsey sighed and smiled, picking up two bags heading down stairs with Stevie and I following him.

In the private jet I met Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood. I was already friends with them all, so this wasn't going to be too awkward. Just a matter of getting used to being famous. After arriving in Phoenix we all got settled in our hotel room. The girls shared one while the boys shared the other, that was the arrangement for this weekend in Phoenix. Stevie laid in one of the beds, "There's only two beds mind sharing with me Em?" I shook my head, "That's fine!" Christine fiddled with the shirt she laid out on her bed, "You're both so small I could probably fit in there too." She giggled while we glared. I could tell this would be a lot of fun.

Stevie wanted to visit her parents, I grew up with Stevie so of course I wanted to come with. We rode a taxi to the childhood home of my dear friend, as the taxi pulled into the driveway of the white house. I remembered all the good times we had in that back yard.

"Tedee wait up!" 5 year old me chased after my little blond friend in her backyard. I always had problems saying my S's when I was little. I finally caught up with her, Stevie's blonde hair was pulled back in pig tails, and she fixed her flowered dress. I pushed my black hair behind my ears, catching my breath. "I'll race you up to the tree!" Stevie yelled. We both started to scamper up the tree. As soon as we started there was Barbara Nicks running outside with her apron on holding a towel. "Girls get down here! That's not safe and you'll ruin your pretty dresses." We climbed down the tree and stood in front of Barbara. "Don't look so sad, you girls want some ice cream?" we both nodded as we happily ran into the house.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Stevie repeatedly saying my name, "Em, Emily!" I turned to face her, "Sorry Steph, what?" She giggled, "I asked you to ring the door bell silly." I blushed, "Ooops" Even before the bell stopped ringing, Barbara was there to open the door.

"Girls!" She squealed, engulfing us in hugs and kisses on our cheeks. "Hey mom!" Stevie exclaimed. "Hi Mrs Nicks!" I followed them into the cozy house. Jess put down the paper he was reading when we walked up to hug him. We all went through old times and soon enough it was time to go, we had rehearsals to go to.

"We'll be sure to come to the show, we have to watch our girls sing together again." Jess said while hugging us goodbye. I smiled at that, the Nicks family were always more like a family to me since I can remember. My parents weren't exactly the best and they've just gotten worst. I moved in with the Nicks when I was 16 for a reason.

It was a rainy dreary night, my dad pushed me out of the house kicking my bags behind me. I cringed as he slammed the door, "You're never allowed in my house again!" he slurred. He had been drinking again, my mom died a long time ago. She wasn't exactly a sweet mother but she was better than him. I wiped my eyes with my palms, picked up my bags, and started to walk in the direction of my safe haven. I knocked on the door, it was late I wasn't expecting an answer right away. Sure enough though, the big wooden door opened. There was Jess Nicks his cold eyes softened, he knew I wasn't a threat to his family.
"Emily what are you doing here?" he opened the screen door that was between us. "My dad kicked me out, I had enough and fought back. I'm really sorry to bother you at this hour Mr Nicks." He shook his head helping me carry my bags, "No, no, its okay! We're always here for you Emily. Just leave this all here, we can deal with it in the morning." I turned around as I heard footsteps down the stairs. There was Stevie and Barbara, "Emily darling, what's going on?" Jess answered for me, "Barbara, her father kicked her out." Stevie was at my side hugging me, "I'm so sorry Emmi." I smiled, "Thanks Stevie." Barbara pushed the hair behind my ears, "Sweetie go clean up and then get some sleep." she kissed my forehead. Stevie and I walked up the stairs, that night I slept in Stevie's bed. I remember us holding each other we always had a sisterly bond.

The taxi stopping at the hotel snapped me out of my thoughts again, I smiled to myself. "Ready for some real fun?" Stevie beamed as she asked. I nodded, "Of course!" I took her hand and we walked into the building. It was just like old times.
