"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to! Cry if I want to!" Lux sings joyously through the halls of the house, dancing very...exotically.
"Lux! It's too early for bad music." I groan fro my bed.
"Nu-uh Baby sister! It's eleven o' clock and you need to come down for my special Birthday Breakfast!" Lux chirps, opening my bedroom door and falling onto my bed, right beside me.
"Waffles?" I ask slowly.
He nods ecstatically.
I hop up and run down the stairs excitedly with Lux on my heels.
Let's just say Mom can make some killer Waffles.
I run into the room before Lux, sliding dramatically over the tile and land with a thunk on my butt.
"Ow." I whine dramatically throwing my arms up towards Stefan (who was grinning wickedly) so he knew that I expected him to help me up.
He shakes his head, laughing loudly (along with the rest of my family).
"Be a gentleman!" I wail, a scowl adorning my face.
"Nope! I'ts my birthday and I declare no one has permission to do anything Casey May Jayne tell's you to do!" Lux declares, fist pumping the air like he was hanging out with the cast of Jersey Shore.
I pout devilishly. "That's terribly mean. Especially after everything I did for you."
Lux blinks, a nervous look crossing his pale face. He coughs awkwardly, looking down at his shuffling feet.
That is one thing and one thing only- defeat.
"Help her up Dude." He shrugs to Stefan.
And Stefan just laughs. "And you say I'm weak to her pouty face. You're pride is just about as skinny as your arms!" He guffaws, holding his belly like Santa Clause.
Lux scowls and lowers his arm for me to grab. I grin victoriously and take his hand in my own as he pulls me up.
"I love you lots big brudder." I bat my eyelashes with an innocent smile.
He grins, the real him returning just like that. His arm wraps around my shoulders and squeezes way too tightly. "Love you too baby sitter."
I feel my face cringing at the pain. "I feel the love. Way too much..."
He chuckles and releases me quickly and swats the back of my head.
"Hey! That wasn't very nice Lucas!" I wail, smacking him back.
"Children, do you want waffles of do you want spam?" Mom asks demonically. "I wont have you acting like six year old on your eighteenth birthday." Mom points at us with the spatula.
"Yes ma'am." Lux stares at the ground.
Then the spatula points to me. "And stop being to...annoyingly persuasive. Blackmail is never a good thing."
I raise an eyebrow. "Never? Not even when you wanted Dad to propose?" I pout. "If you hadn't blackmailed him on that one I wouldn't be here and you would be sad and alone."
She laughs. "No, I would probably be with a rich Asian man my mother would approve of." She elbows Dad's side with a flirty smile. "But I liked him too much."
"Disgusting." Lux comments dryly. "Now onto the waffles!" It was like a scene from that one movie where the guy yelled 'This is Sparta!'. Yeah, Lux was being that dramatic.
"Fine." Mom scowls.
I grin back at her. "Topped with Strawberries please." I chirp.
She grins. "Duh."
