You woke to find yourself sunk within the leather of a comfy sofa. While slowly rubbing your eyes, you looked around to find yourself in a similar whitewash room except it had been decorated to appear homely. Pictures and photos clung to the walls, cabinets and tables were scattered around the room and a soft blue carpet with the Overwatch symbol in the centre covered the floor. With a yawn, you slowly stood up and stretched your arms out dramatically. The clocks read 8AM and you decided that it would probably be best to freshen up and find someone to report to. You walked over to the bathroom door and knocked on it to make sure Lena wasn't in there. With no response received, you strolled in and took a bracing cold shower to wake yourself up before changing into a different set of clothes; a simple T-shirt and jeans. Wherever this base was, it sure was hot and sunny.

You strolled down the corridor and passed several soldiers who saluted you on their way past. This unexpected attention unnerved you slightly as the only time you'd ever actually been called 'sir' was reluctantly by a waiter in a restaurant. Noticing a door leading outwards, you decided to turn left towards it and stepped out onto a large balcony overlooking a courtyard. You leant over the blue railing and observed as a drill sergeant of sorts trained at least a dozen soldiers down in the courtyard. You also happened to notice a curious number '76' imprinted onto his back but shook it off, out of all the strange new things you'd encountered in the last few days that was surely the least surprising. The balcony also gave you a great view of a section of the massive base and just with a glance you noticed a huge communications array, a barracks and what appeared to be some sort of zen garden in the distance.

"Rather impressive, isn't it?" Winston said from behind, making you gasp a little in shock.

"Incredibly. The scale of this place...I feel like I'm dreaming" you replied causing him to chuckle.

"Yes, it does tend to have that effect. You and Lena end up sharing her room then?"

"Yeah, she was very kind to offer. I'll have to find some way to make it up to her"

"Somehow I don't think that will be necessary, she seems to have taken quite a shine to you. On another topic though, we need to get you outfitted. Weapons, training, a room...a lot of work needs to be done"

"Awesome, what should I do first?"

"Hm, wait for the officer down there to complete his training session and then speak to him about acquiring a weapon. You performed brilliantly in previous fights so it's only right that you have one. He'll set you up".

With that final statement, Winston lumbered back into the facility and left you with a list of tasks to get yourself set up. You took one last look at the sun rising over the military complex before heading back inside and making your way downstairs to meet with the drill sergeant. You stepped out of a door into the courtyard and leant against the walls of the base, observing the training session in action. The officer turned to you for a second before looking back at his men and barking out commands. After a further five minutes of press ups and star jumps, the officer finally dismissed the men and walked over to you. Only now did you notice a red visor over his eyes and a collection of scars on his face, he was definitely a veteran.

"You that new recruit they're talking about? The hacker?" he asked, with the most gruff voice you'd ever heard.

"Y/N, pleasure to meet you sir" you replied, wanting to look good in front of your superiors and make a good impression.

"You can call me Soldier 76 or sir. Now, what exactly is it you need"

"A weapon sir, Winston told me that you'd be able to help me with that"
