You sat up in the stretcher and pulled off the quilt, glad to see that you hadn't been changed into some kind of hospital garbs.

"Forget one more day doctor, I think I'm needed now" you remarked as the alarms continued to echo in the background.

"What exactly is going on?" Angela asked as she helped you up.

"I'll be damned if it isn't something to do with Reaper" you stated, taking your pistols from the bedside table and holstering each of them.

"Hmm, okay. You and Lena should head to the command centre to see if you're needed. I'll remain here with other patients and ensure that they're safe. Good luck" Angela said. You nodded your head and turned to Lena who briefly shared a glance with you before rushing out of the door. You followed behind, adrenaline giving you a sudden rush of excitement. It was like a new you, ever since that first fight with Talon back in London you'd found that you were most excited on the battlefield. You swore that Lena's nature was rubbing off on you. The two of you jogged through empty corridors, the faint red glow of the emergency lighting creating an ominous atmosphere. Crates had been knocked over and panels on the wall seemed to be sparking as if hit by an electromagnetic pulse. As you approached the control centre, you shared a worried look and both pulled out your weapons just in case. You kept your finger firmly close to the trigger as you crept through the doors into the large circular room. The sight that greeted you was not what you had expected at all.

Nearly every single Overwatch operative that had previously been working at the monitors was now sat silently in the deep sleep of death and the screens were cracked with flickering images shown on them. You both stared silently in shock, unsure of what to make of such a horrific scene. The room was completely dark save for the faint shine of the backup lights and an eerie quiet filled the air. Suddenly, over the deafening silence you heard a deep coughing and you both instantly ran to find its source. On the lower level, buried under the collapsed main monitor laid Winston who was just lifting the rubble off his head.

"Let me help you with that big guy" you said, holstering your pistols and lifting up the debris allowing him to crawl out.

"Thank you Y/N, good lord" Winston replied upon seeing the rest of the room. The three of you solemnly looked up at the scene was a couple of other soldiers who had managed to survive dug themselves out of other collapsed rubble.

"What happened here Winston?" Lena asked.

"I'm not entirely sure, all of the screens suddenly sparked and the lights went off. Next thing I know, I'm just waking up to you two helping me out of rubble. If I was to take a guess I'd say we were hit by some sort of electromagnetic pulse. Military grade tech" Winston replied as he helped some of his fellow operatives get back on their feet. You stepped over to one of the few functioning consoles and typed quickly into the keyboard, trying to get at least the lighting back on. As you attempted to type the commands you kept finding yourself getting blocked, as if someone else was fighting you for control of the facility.

"That's odd" you muttered under your breath as none of your commands worked. You began typing more complex solutions, even trying to hack the facility to get it back online. Suddenly, the screen in front of you turned purple and rudimentary drawing of a skull crafted from lines of code appeared. The same image appeared on all of the functioning monitors as harsh realisation hit you like a train. You ran over to Winston and Lena as they stared unknowingly at the screens.

"We've been hacked" you stated simply, causing looks of panic to appear on their faces.

"How bad?" Winston asked.

"Bad, I can't gain control of any of our systems. Not even lighting, let alone defences or...cell doors" you replied.

"Reaper, damn it" Lena remarked.
