The next day was quiet. I went to a wedding shoot and the lovely couple was so adorable. They gave me free run of the whole party. I was running around the whole time with Mel. Melanie Carter is another photographer in my studio. She mostly handless the kids and weddings because she has the patience of a saint.
So Mel and I had a grand old time snapping the moments of the ceremony. The couple even gave us a break and made us sit with them for dinner and drinks. Needless to say we needed Mel's husband to come pick us up at the end of the night.
Now it's Sunday, I'm a little hung-over and I'm on Alicia duty today. Amanda has meetings about for the restaurant all day so I got to spend some time alone with Alicia. The day was quiet; I took her out to the barn and took a lot of pictures of her with the puppies and Midnight. Amanda was happy to see them when she came home later that night.
When Monday morning rolled around I brought Alicia over to Kim's house so she could babysit her while I went to work. I got to the studio a little after 10 and opened it up. Rebecca doesn't come in until noon; it's usually just myself on Monday mornings till she comes in. But that's okay with me because I'm able to get a lot of work done just myself here.
Once I got everything set up I locked the front door again and went up to the apartment. I knocked on the door and waited a few minutes before the door opened. Spencer was on the other side with a very serious case of bed hair in a band shirt and shorts.
"Meet me downstairs in 15 minutes, we start today." I said.
"Okay" Spencer said and shut the door in my face.
Teenagers. I rolled my eyes and went back downstairs, re-unlocked the front door and sat down in Rebecca's chair. It took Spencer about 20 minutes before she strolled through the back door.
"Good morning sunshine." I said.
"Hi" Spencer said and ran a hand through her hair.
"Catch" I said and threw an iPhone at her. Spencer caught the phone in her hand and gave me a look. "That's your new phone while you're here. I'm guessing you have realized by now that your phone isn't working. This phone is covered, do what you want with it but don't break it because you only get one." I said.
"Got it, so what are we doing today?" She asked.
"I'm going to show you around here and we are going to edit some photo's from a wedding shot Saturday night. So follow me." I said.
The tour of the studio only took a few minutes, when we were done I took Spencer to the computer room to start looking through the photo's I took from the wedding.
"So now we are going to edit some photo's and touch them up a bit." I said and sat down at one of the computer terminals.
"Okay" Spencer said and sat down next to me.
"Your username is your first initial of your first name then your last name. The password is intern." I said and logged into my user.
Before I had the chance to say anything else Mel stumbled into the room and leaned against the doorframe.
"Are you still as drunk as I am? Oh new person." Mel said and looked at Spencer.
"Melanie, this is Spencer, my intern for the winter slash her summer." I answered.
"Hi" Spencer said and waved.
