The next week seemed to have blown by and before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye to my mother and friends. But before I could take them to the airport I have to take care of some business. When I got to the studio Sophia is waiting outside the front door.

I told Rebecca to take the day off so she wouldn't have to see me meeting with Sophia again. Quietly I unlocked the door and let Sophia in before I locked it behind me. We walked to my office and took a seat.

"How are things?" I asked her.

"Looking good on my end. I'm putting together a case to arrest Joe sooner rather then later. I'm hoping putting him behind bars soon will prevent any potential shootings." Sophia answered.

"Good, just remember my deal." I said and pulled a bag of tapes out of my office draw. "I'm not sure if all of that is useful but I'm giving it all to you just in case." I said looking at the tapes.

"I will see that I can put to use but thank you so much for this Veronica." Sophia said and took the bag of tapes.

"I want to add something to that deal." I said.

"What?" She asked.

"Luke Matthews and John York are left out of your investigation. They are both good guys wanting to get out from under Joe." I said.

After speaking with Luke he told me about wanting to get out of the life. I know that when guys asked Dante he would let them go but they would be cut off. Luke finally got a stable union job in the city and he is making good money. John is back at school and he is working toward getting his Doctoral Degree to work at the veteran's hospital as a trauma surgeon. Right now he is only there as a nurse and he wants to move up. Sophia sighed and looked at the bag of tapes before nodding at me. She put the bag of taps into her bag and stood up.

"Don't make me regret this." I said and stood up as well.

"You won't." Sophia said.

We both walked back to the front door and turned to face each other. Before I could say anything to her Sophia pulled me into a hug. I didn't say anything but just held onto the woman who will hopefully save my mother. Finally Sophia pulled away, her forehead rested on mine. Before I could pull myself away Sophia pressed her lips to mine.

The kiss only last a few seconds before I pushed her away. Sophia didn't give me a chance to say anything before she turned to the door. I sighed and unlocked the door for her. When she got to her car Sophia gave me one last look before she left the studio. I quickly locked the door behind her as I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

I just cheated on my wife. I willingly let Sophia kiss me. I made my way back to my office and turned everything off before making my way out of the studio. I made my way to the car and quickly drove home.

When I got back to the house I saw Tomas was helping Luke put a suitcase in the back of the truck. Kim is standing on the porch with my mom and they are talking. My wife, the woman I just cheated on, is sitting in front of them on the steps holding our daughter.

I took a minute to compose myself before I got out of my car to join them. Tomas just finished putting away the suitcases as I walked over to them.

"Everything ready to go?" I asked looking at Tomas.

"Yup, everything is good." He answered before saying his goodbyes to Luke and John. I walked over to the porch and looked at my mother.
