"It's been a long time Joe, what do you want?" I asked and forced myself to wake up more.

            "I'm guessing you know by now your father had another bastard child. I'm guessing she even found you by now but just know that she took something I need and I'm going to get it back one way or another Scar." Joe said.

            "What does she have that you want Joe?" I said and groaned as Amanda hit a pothole.

            "So she is with you thanks for making my life a lot easier Scar, I'll see you soon." Joe said and hung up the phone.

            "Fuck" I said as my head started to pound even more.

            "What did he want Vero?" Amanda said as she pulled onto the driveway of the farm.

            "Nothing good I need to call Sophia when we get inside." I said huffed.

            "Has she been in on this the whole time?" Amanda asked as she turned off the car.

            "Yea, I thought by now she would have had a solid case built so she could arrest Joe and his underlings but without the drugs it's going to make it harder to get everything to stick, that's why he isn't in jail yet." I said filling her in on everything.

            Amanda didn't say anything but just got out the truck, Spencer followed suit and stayed by the door to help me inside. Although the beating wasn't bad it's been a long time since I've been in a fight and it's going to take a lot longer for me to rebound. Spencer stood by my side as we walked inside the guest cabin and went to her room that she shared with Santana.

            I locked the door behind us and made my way to the bathroom. Amanda was already standing in front of the sink filling the tub with water getting the first aid kit out. Carefully I felt the back of my head to make sure I wasn't bleeding but when I pulled my hand away I saw red. I turned to look in the mirror and saw the back of my hair was pink with blood.

            "Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" Amanda asked and started pulling my hair apart to see the wound.

            "You know I can't. Tomas still has Alicia right?" I asked as Amanda pressed something that stung against the head wound.

            "Yea get in the tub and I'll call him to see if he can keep her tonight." Amanda said after she finished cleaning my head wound. 

            I pulled my pants off and my undergarments before getting into the warm tub as Amanda left the bathroom and closed the door behind herself. A content sigh left my lips as the warm water started to relax my tense muscles. Before I could get to relaxed I reached into my pant pocket and pulled out Sophia's burner phone and called her.

            "How are you feeling champ?" Sophia asked when she picked up the phone.

            "Joe called me, he knows that Spencer is here and she has something he wants. He's coming to collect it Sophia, I need you to get here before him." I said.

            "Fuck okay, I'm going to need 24 hours to get everything together Veronica, do you have a safe place for Amanda and Alicia to go?" Sophia asked.

            "Not really" I said and sighed.

            "Okay, I'll be at your place in 24 hours 48 hours the latest." Sophia said.

            "Please call if you have any information." I said and hung up the phone. "FUCK" I yelled and slammed my hand down on the edge of the tub before putting my head in my hands.
